Wow, that's an unethical abuse of power if ive ever heard of it. These pageants are no different than any male bodybuilding competition of the 1930s. To shame the women in these pageants by convincing them they are doing something wrong isnt healthy either. If you think that the message of this episode is that pageants are bad, then you didn't watch it. I am praising the comments made about the women of NASA being forced to compete and be judged on their appearance. I am praising Rhett and Link's comments that bring attention to inequality. If someone wants to participate in a pageant of their own free will, it is not my place to cast judgment. However, if I have a chance to publicly remind girls that they can be judged on their hard work, their brains, their skills, their philanthropy and anything else other than their looks, then I WILL DO IT. In the town my mom grew up in in the 50s, there was an annual asparagus festival. Many of the families in town, including my grandparents, grew hundreds of acres of the "green gold" and being crowned the Asparagus Queen was a huuuuuge deal. Cracks me up every time.
