My favorite is DIVERSITY- Starship is like the Swiss Army Knife of rockets 🚀 Starship Fairing can be utilized for: 1. point to point commercial 2. Crew Mansion 3. Tanker 4. Cargo 5. Space Force Military 6. Easily customizable for any mission!

I’m very excited about the volume Starship can send too orbit! Capable of sending 4 53 foot long trailers loaded into orbit is a major game changer! Construction companies spend $tens of Billions every year building infrastructure! Imagine some that money diverted to building infrastructure in space!🤤

04:57 Boys and there toys .... ;-) .... wait ... the SLS Programm is running for 10 years already?? And they're just doing the green run tests ... the most exciting part about Starship for me is to see the whole vehicle (Starship + Super Heavy Booster) doing its first testflight ...omg that will be mindblowing ... and what I like the most about this whole project is the reusibility ...

The atmosphere on Mars is extremely thin, so the damage to the heat shields will be negligible, enough to survive Earth reentry. But to be sure, we'll have to wait till it's tested.

Okay now, Time frames : launch of Starship, Launch of Starship with crew to Moon, launch of Starship with Booster and ...when do we get the Gateway Station? And even if he was the father of American rocketry, why would you name it after a war criminal? (Von Braun, but you knew that right). I think Gateway Station is better or Prometheus I. ( without the nasty little xenomorphs). Additional : What do these craft have in place to avoid collisions with N.E.O projectiles such as comets and meteors? Do they map the possibles on radar to avoid destruction? If something the size of a grain of sand could slice through the hull of the ships, imagine the damage of something the size of a golf ball.

Great video. I do have a request for you to cover or answer. Do you think it is wiser to send up a starship uncrewed, have it refuel in orbit and then have a falcon 9 launch to deliver the crew to the waiting starship that goes to the moon (not Mars if it has no heat tiles) and returns to earth orbit to dock again with the waiting falcon 9? This method would allow the starship to avoid a dangerous landing maneuver and replace heat tiles. Are the savings in development cost and time worth it to do it this way?

I want to see a stage 1.5 for high-delta-v deep-space missions, that lifts off on top of a Superheavy, jettisons its nose cone once it's out of the atmosphere, links up with a Starship in orbit, and gets filled with methalox. It would be mostly a giant fuel tank, with just two vacuum Raptors.

Don't forget that SLS 10+++ years of dev if not the actual time. solid rocket and engines and more are from the shuttle era (refurbish + upgrade) Spacex X is from scratch!

They might be able to get it below 10 dollars per kg long term internal cost and below 50/kg in the shorter term. Then there's profit of course and paying for the development program.

Sadly the following is true. 1. Reusability is not new (shuttle). 2. How SpaceX designs is not something new for them as applied only to this rocket. 3. Stainless Steel is a reboot of a old idea. 4 Methalox is new, but not the overall application of the "Starship." Also calling it a Starship is just ridiculous..

2:32 ------ Stainless steel...Rusting?????? .. the clue is in the name, "Stainless"!
@OLHZN
@OLHZN 4 жыл бұрын
Stainless steel is not fully rust-proof, it is just more resistant to corrosion that's why it's called stain less steel. Exposure to corrosive process fluids and cleaners, high humidity or high salinity environments such as sea water can remove the native protective layer (chromium oxide) and can cause stainless steel corrosion.
