Heat is where rinseless is your best buddy. Use rinseless as a pretreat and after you rinse it off spray the car down with rinseless again. The polymers are going to keep the minerals from sticking to the paint. They go panel by panel pretreating each panel at a time. When you put fresh rinseless on the panel the polymer spots and minerals absorb into the new rinseless so you can wipe them away. I love rinseless so much.

@@yungboiidomm 1. Spray car with rinseless 2. Pre rinse car 3. Repsray car with rinsless 4. Go panel per panel with contact wash spraying rinsless on the panel if it is dry before you use your wash media. No spots.

What I usually do is just pre rinse the car and go straight to a rinse less like onr 64:1 as a pre treat, pull the car into the garage of I have the option, and do a full rinse less at regular 256:1 bucket dilution then finish with another quick hit of 64:1 to help with drying. Either mothod totally works!

I think my favorite is the canopy. I am in South Florida and never see anyone use one. I detail out of my garage, but the washing and interior blowing, vacuuming etc. occurs outside. I just detail in the garage. I still need the canopy. My driveway has an eastern exposure. I think the canopy is essential. Great advice bro. Thank you for the post.

Another thing that I have implemented, which is common sense to be honest… But sometimes we implement a system, but that system can always be executed so when I have an early detail, I like to do the wash as soon as I get there when the sun is not fully out and then I’ll take care of the vacuum afterwards and then if I have a late detail, I’ll take care of the vacuum first and then I’ll proceed to the wash once the sun has came down a little bit just simple tips for the new detailers as myself🙌🏽

We use the customers water (regular garden hose high ppm) for the wash, then for the final rinse we connect to our 65 gallon tank that carries only DI water.

I heard if you put 2-3 capfuls of rinseless wash to your regular car soap and hard water wash bucket it will help with water spots? Is there any truth to that?
@xlrators53788 ай бұрын
I heard the same.
@dansanders3408 ай бұрын
2-3 capfuls of rinseless is what's needed for a regular bucket of rinseless wash, so I'd just use a good rinseless, ik DIYdetail is a great one, probably slightly better than mckees. And mckees is preferred by most over optimal no rinse, ONR, bc it doesn't have any filling polymers like ONR does. The filling polymers are a bad idea when using rinseless diluted to a clay lubricant or a drying aid

Now that I'm MUCH older now (57) that when I started detailing (17), your words are almost like "DUH!!!" I USED to be able to power through almost anything, but like you said, you AND the ***quality of your work*** suffers as the day goes by. I don't do this for a living, but occasionally I will detail a friend/relative's car for a few bucks. I will now ONLY detail ONE car a day (or over 2 days), that way I CAN take breaks between processes. The quality of my work stays high, but more importantly - NO BURNOUT!! Fortunately, with age, comes experience & knowledge, so I can get better results now, with fewer steps and less concentrated effort than I did when I was 17, and I can take breaks when needed, or "just I want to stop for a few minutes," and not lose time detailing that I had to have before in order to get high quality results.

If you get sidewalls make sure to have AT LEAST 20lbs on each leg. If you get a huge gust of wind those walls will act as a sail and lift up the canopy before you even have a chance to hold it down. Ask me how I know

Sometimes in the heat, if the car not too dirty, Ill just do a rinseless wash. Wash and dry 1 panel at a time. I have more control over the panel drying out that way.. Ill Spray my wash on the panel for extra lubrication and right away wash it down and dry it. For the wheels and tires, i clean them as I would normally clean them though

In summer is skip the iron remover step. It instantly dries. Nothing happens to the paint while polishing because you skipped one step. Summer months can be brutal for detailers.

I can’t justify putting all DI water into my tank. Even if I only use 15-20 gallons on a wash it’s still almost $10 in just DI water cutting into my profits. I’m trying to figure out a small bypass system to send water through the filter only when necessary
