I vote by absentee ballot because I'm disabled and it's hard for me to go to the polls. I got my ballot in the mail today here in Indiana and I filled it out and voted and I'll be mailing it in tomorrow. It's been a blessing that I decided to listen to Les Feldick' Bible study lessons every day this year. I have learned so much. And when I get stressed...I listen to one of his videos. They have a calming effect...at least for me. His study lessons are on KZbin. There's no preaching. It is just learning how to read and study the Word of God. It's the best New Year resolution I've ever done. ❤❤

Understand your concerns.....We literally have had true snow storms that took all power/ability to communicate with others for 2 plus weeks. I was so happy to be blessed with the knowledge of preparing. That experience made me realize more needed to be thought through, We have continued to prep, put back, work on our skills of all kinds and continue to pray and be thankful. You know, I was thinking the other day about the hand pumps for water. I have relatives who have them for emergencies, but I got to thinking what if we had an earthquake in the area that broke the well pipe or a tornado that actually destroyed the pump? My relatives bank on having water because of their pumps, but having extra back up water and filters is also a wise idea because there is no guarantee that those hand pumps will survive an unexpected natural catastrophe.🤷‍♀️

During the winter I make meat (purchasing bulk beef) and preparing the meat for pressure canning. I'm cutting the fat, freezing slabs of fat, cutting into bit size cubes for my cats. I give morsels of fat along with dry cat food. Plus I have mice, squirrels, chipmunks and rabbits running around my ranch. The cats should be well feed for winter.😊

My husband just drove me to the local grocery store. It was dark. I would have gone by myself but he wanted to drive me. Funny, I realized after 41 years of marriage, he drove me and waited outside in the car, so that I would be safe. We didn’t discuss it, but we both know things have changed. I spoke to one of the regular employees, really nice young guy. I noticed that there was an armed security older man there. I never noticed him before. I said to the nice young man, I see you have armed security now “that’s good because you have a lot of young girls working here.” I’ve said to them “please be careful going home.” He said “I know sometimes I drive them home.” Things have changed. Maybe, we don’t discuss it, but behaviors are changing. I’m alittle concerned that businesses won’t be able to afford to pay for the required services needed to do business, and they will shut some stores down or change the hours accordingly.
