That’s the top notch reason I left my husband. It was because he was too heavily consumed with sport’s culture, invested in video game-playing day in day out , viewing basketball , football, baseball games, watching sports analysts on programming with a sports-related theme giving their opinions and commentary. We would go out to dinner as a family and our daughter’s dance recital . But he would be scrolling on his phone watching ESPN Sports Center. We would be in the car traveling as a family and he would listen to music then switch it to sports talk radio and conservative platforms. When I reached my breaking point, and told him that I had enough and wanted out he just scoffed. Then when someone else caught my attention, now he had the unmitigated gall to be upset even though I had previously told him that I wanted out of this sham of a marriage because that’s what it was reduced to at that point. Therefore, the little girl is correct. All that wisdom bottled up in a cute, precious child. Sometimes children know more than we give them credit for.
