안녕하십니까 선생님! First of all,thanks for the lecture,i wrote down everything on my notebook,thank you sm. I would like to ask,is it common to don't use counters in daily conversations? Because tbh,there are some counters here that I've never heard of,so i think it might be because it's more used in writing than on speaking. Thanks in advance :)

I kinda wish we would use the Hanja for these things. I think it would help with recognizing many of them, but I could say that about Hanja in general.

Ma'am in lecture 50 you taught about double consonants. The explanation and pronunciation was clear, but I am unable to understand its usage. I mean, if we already have the sound which double consonant represents then why do we use it?
@LearnKoreanABC
@LearnKoreanABC 2 жыл бұрын
6:48 여덟 - Can you read this? 🤔 You have to read it as "여덜" instead of "여덥". There are many students who can't read double consonants. 읽다, 앉다, 많다 - how do you pronounce this? There aren't many words with double consonants. I taught you which pronunciation is correct, so you just have to memorize it. If you didn't learn it, you wouldn't be able to read the sentence with double consonants. 😎

@@LearnKoreanABC 익따 , 안따, 만타 - I believe this will be the pronunciation? But ma'am my question is, if these three words are pronounced like 익따 , 안따, 만타 then why do we use use double consonants? Why not instead write it the way it is pronounced? Anyway, now ma'am I am able to understand korean much better. My reading speed is getting better and the entire credit goes to you. I dont think I would have been able to learn the language if you weren't there! Thank you sooo soo much for everything! I am sure same goes for all your students😊

@@gauri__dayal There are many kinds of Batchim(final consonants), but you know there are only seven sounds. ☑️ I wrote the pronunciation in Korean to teach you the correct sound, but when we write Korean in letters, we don't write it according to the pronunciation. ❌ Because we don't know exactly what it means if we write it as it sounds. 앉다(sit), 안다(hug) ➡ [안따] 읽다, 익다 ➡️ [익따] 빛, 빚, 빗 ➡️ [빋] It sounds the same but has different meanings. 읽다, 읽고, 읽어서, 읽으니, 읽으면…… If the verb stem changes 읽 to 익, we don't know what it means. We need to look at the form of letters to know the exact meaning. (It's similar to separating the words See and Sea.😆) I think we've used double consonants since the old days to express more words. Anyway, I'm so glad that you can read Korean well! 😃
