Sheriff Scottie did (Scottie became the Clark County Sheriff last year) and he let the state cops take over that investigation which has now become a huge shitshow 🤣😆🤣😆🤣😆

Yes it was a bad situation and staff had they're hands full but I don't understand why it was so difficult to get drinking water in. Either bottled water or 5 gallon jugs of water and cups. Reach out to Red Cross and it would have been handled.

THe guards had access to drinking water (drinking fountains, bottled water and so forth). The fact that they did not give water to these inmates shows that they do not consider them as human beings with basic rights and respect. How do you expect people to behave if they're treated this way? The sheriffs are not acting responsibly in this case. They were only made aware of this sityuation when they watched the show. WHAT?! They should keep an eye on the operations in order to make sure it is run correctly. The american prison system is disfunctional. How do you expect to lower crime rates with these kind of prisons?

Because if you use your jail-issued items for a purpose they're not designed for, thats a jail rule violation. Also, if you give up those items to soak up the water, they may not be replaced for several days. And if they're contaminated with biohazards from the sewage, the jail laundry may not be equipped to remove biohazrds from fabric. Last but not least, water pressure. If the sewage was flowing faster than it could be mopped up, the blankets are useless.

No explanation but let me kinda help. They are in County jail. County jails are run by the County or some smaller Counties combine can make up a judicial district jail. Still a County jail. County is where someone goes for warrants, court commit, pre sentencing, short sentence time service, arrests. Prison is State run usually by the State Department.of Corrections. These would be the more long term sentences and is only used for after sentencing. They are typically less restrained, inmates have access to more things and can in some cases get jobs. County jails are the worse time anyone does.
