Grew up a Hawks fan during this era, and man i wish i had known just how special this rivalry was, havent experienced anything like it since. Not just the iconic moments between the teams, but fanbases too. One time on a "Blue Friday" (everybody in the school dressing in seahawks gear the friday before a game), the bus driver wore a 49ers jerseys and pretty much the entire bus booed him the entire way to school 😂

Richard Sherman has got to be my most disliked ex NFL player. Mainly due to his treatment of his ex. Turning up to her family's house hammered drunk, having already written off his SUV and looking to beat the door in before beating her, he even treatens to 'kill' if he gets through the door....that footage will never go away no matter how Richard tries to re-invent himself. If he had gained entry to that house I have no doubt he would've tried to kill his ex. This is what he was promising at the door. Some of my favourite NFL footage is the look on Shermans face as Russell Wilson is picked on the line of the endzone by Malcolm Butler. Perfection. Super Bowl over and good night legion of boom. Adiós muchachos. I'm glad he never saw success again due to his egotistical manner amd overall selfishmess.

It's too bad that rivalry couldn't have remained hot. Seattle never seemed to have AFC West rivals because they were johnny-come-latelys to that division. SF only maybe had the Rams because their other divisionmates, NO and ATL were all the way across the country and sucked, and then the Rams moved halfway across the country and then sucked (Now the Rams are back in LA and playing good again, but their fanbase is comparatively weak.). Seattle-SF was perfect, at least for a while.
