That’s a great idea Daniel! I bet they’d sale great at craft fairs. The one you wrapped would look great with your dragon eye technique. Maybe you could drop two colors in at once? If you left the plastic partition in the mould then added the white, I think it would work?

Even your tiny pieces turn out great! Mine have just been icky or underwhelming lately. And my LR sinker seems like its just alcohol and I can't get the bottom to mix in the bottle. (Ill probably have to pour it out and refill it). I need some ball bearings like you use! Anyway so I've been using Pinata and its been weird and creating a weird film that will come up when I go to stir it. Just disappointed with my stuff lately. Anyway, thank you for sharing your videos! I love them! ❤❤

Oh, wow, these are great, Dan! Hey, if you left the partition in until you were ready to stir, would that work? I mean, drop of ink on either side, then a drop of sinker on either side...wait an hour, then stir? Hmmm. I wonders, I wonders, yes, I does...

Hey Daniel, curious if once cured you've tried spraying the outside of your cabs with a UV protection spray (such as Krylon UV Protection Acrylic Varnish) and if that has / would prolong the life of colour fade in alcohol inks?? Best wishes and thanks for all the amazing information. Imogen x
@daniel..cooper Жыл бұрын
I did think about it but the brand holds up really well with uv exposure 😊
@awitcheshome Жыл бұрын
@@daniel..cooper I agree this resin does hold up well against UV! It was just a thought re something you mentioned in this particular video about being open with potential buyers about uv and fade issues.. As said it was just a thought..! 🙃 Thanks for the reply! @daniel..cooper Жыл бұрын
@awitcheshome it's a great idea, a lot of 3d printers use the spray too, just not sure if it would wear off easily, or be able to seal over the top, I may experiment soon but would take a very long time to know the results.

Sorry Daniel but I have another question which you probably have answered before. But I tried to get the same effects you get with alcohol inks with just flat bottom type molds. I do okay with the rounded bottoms like you are using here. Cool effects in the flat ones. But not as cool as the ones that you have taught us. Is the round/dome that is also important in the effects you get? I'm not sure if I am explaining what I mean. Still new to all this and I am probably not using the right terminology.
