I'm restoring a 1947 Lincoln Continental convertible, and they were available earlier than that. It has under seat heaters similar to these. There is nothing new under the sun.

@cornfieldcustoms So was air-conditioning. I restored a 1936 Cadillac V-12 convertible sedan with ride control. All four knee-action shocks had hard lines going to a control knob on the dash that had soft to firm where different size holes restricted the shock fluid. Worked like a brand new Caddy. Yes, many car inventions were rare early, but if you asked any millennial they'd swear all the modern conveniences were invented in europe.

Heated rear seats, must have been a staff car for ranking members of the civil defense.

Such an amazing era. Companies trying different things, crazy built in extra or orders. And imagination. The one thing cars lack these days.
