I have been asked many times why I like going to Walt Disney World so much, but I have never been able to give a good reason why.. I think this video describes my love to go to the parks perfectly.. Congradulations to Walt Disney Imagineering for the first 60 years.. in some countries I won t name, most people think everybody working for disney is an underpaid slave (chained in a basement or something, lol) , don t give your children cereals with disney characters on the box (but other characters are all right), if it s disney, it must be bad CAN YOU IMAGINE THAT,? My grandfather, Ed Thomas, was an Early Imagineer who worked with Walt Disney. I hope to one day show my son what my "Paw paw" worked on. If anyone has any first hand experiences with my Grandfather, I'd love to talk and hear about them. He passed away when i was fairly young, and now that im older, there are so many stories i missed out on hearing. I miss him dearly.

Walt Disney passed away in 1966. That's a long time ago. But to see that his ideas and principles are still so passionately embraced by those who work for The Walt Disney Company says a lot about his legacy, not only to the world, but to the employees who make sure it continues. It's amazing in the corporate world.

I quite agree with you but please don t use the world idol, christians jump at the occasion to throw disney fans out of churches (just make you feel unwelcome so you leave by yourself, I m now a christian without a church) walt wonderful human but still human, not God, he was imperfect, that makes him EVEN MORE LOVABLE yes he was grumpy at the end of his life, but it s because he was in so much physical pain and nobody knew can t wait to see you in heaven, walt ! in the meantime, disneyland is the closest thing, the happiest place ON EARTH

In a lot of ways, they kind of are. But if you stick with the company, you can find real heart here and there in the company's products. Mary Poppins flying over hundreds of wonderstruck families every evening. Mickey Mouse reconciling with his long-lost brother Oswald the Lucky Rabbit (in Epic Mickey 1). The new short Paperman. Act 3 of Wreck-it Ralph (although the first 2 acts are great, as well, the waterworks start in Act 3). Dragons flying over New Fantasyland.

It's nice to see how Disney's sorta' going back to that whole "parents sit on the side while the kids have fun" model of family entertainment that Walt loved so much. More and more is getting whittled down to demographic markets.

nothing to do with age, in my country you re already snubbed at age 6 i ve been told all my life to outgrow disney several decades and trips to disney parks around the world later, living in a house where you feel you re in disneyland, THANKS GOD I DIDN T LISTEN TO THEM you re 21,? that means old enough to have YOUR way and tell them to go fly a kite (literally! it would do them good)
