How far from the charger does the preheating turn on for you? For my Tesla MYP it doesn't even matter if it's 100km or 200km, it'll start preheating immediately after I set the destination, causing terrible consumption and wasting energy on the way there instead of just preheating the last 20 minutes. It'll heat up the battery then turn off the heating, then turn it on again and so forth. Did a 200km trip with an SC in the middle, on the way to SC I had 35kWh consumption the whole way because it was preheating the whole 100km or more than an hour of driving, turning heating on and off intermittently .. the last leg of the trip I had 22kWh. I almost didn't make it to the charger. Next time I'll manually set SC destination the last 15 minutes... I don't care if it can't peak at 250kW, it can't do it for more than a few minutes even if it's hot.

24c and seats on high…. Are you trying to cook yourself 😂 I’d be asleep in that heat , plus you’ve got three layers on. Heat stroke would be my biggest issue 😂 🥵 Great video as always 👍🏻

London to Edinburgh is about 396 miles or 637 km. So you did that drive in basically 5 h 30 mins. Google maps says (at 01:30) it will take 7 h 30. Your run is really good notwithstanding the higher speed limit in Germany.

Hi, many thanks for some great videos. You have greatly helped us choose the ID7 as our next EV. Just a couple of questions: Is the DCC worth it, and the Launch Edition has Blue seat trim, but the Match Pro is now White. Is there any difference between the Launch & Match apart from the seat trim. Many thanks in advance, and have a nice Christmas.

If you have now a Mercedes with air suspension then you will feel the difference of the DCC. I have no DCC. And I don‘t miss it. For me the ID 7 is comfortable enough.

Why you leave AC off for heating? Sometimes with my ID7 when i turn AC for hearing after 10 minutes of drive, it gives my same estimation. Should i leave AC on or off for heating?
@MEeg-r3k7 күн бұрын
AC ist need when it is wet or hot. For heating it isn‘t need. The consumption is 0.5 kW/h. So not very much. It doesn‘t matter except when you every km of range.

Chris, we all know you chose that charging stop so you could have a cheeky Whopper Meal in the Burger King, shame on you.
