Thanks for the informative, hilarious content! I bought a Squier classic vibes Jaguar from Sweetwater. I had to return it because the neck pickup was extremely microphonic and squealing like a stuck pig. That somehow passed their 55 point inspection.🤷‍♂️

You know Alan, Sweetwater has a great custom shop. I always have them do a full setup, bone nut, sometimes new tuners, polish frets, action height, I like 1.65 on low E and 1.5 on the high E, and 9-42 strings. Nice looking rig though.

Found a bunch of these open box at one of the major dealers. They are selling open box models for 300. Going to snatch one of these or a strat. 40th. Same price range for the open box strats. I was wanting one but not wanting to spend 5 to 600 for a guitar I'm unsure about quality wise. I can sell it easily for what I'm paying if I do not like it so it's on.

They're really nice looking guitars - I was sorely tempted by the strat, but man this one sounds so shrill, it's like a pick axe in the forehead lol. I'd be looking at some tv jones or something similar, maybe some filtertrons !!!!! Do it ! That's a whole vid right there :)

PS... doesn't sweetwater have a Plek machine? Dead frets are not cool since that could require a major repair, but it also says something about the entire fret board.

They charge for that. I’m gonna take a look at the bridge height on the treble side and see if it needs to come back up a bit

@@GearGasms I only had it happen once. A dead third fret on the first string. I had to have the fret replaced. It's not difficult if you have the tools and materials. Good luck with that annoyance. I think Sweetwater would help you out.

Love it! Sounds great looks beautiful! I can't 💩on Squire after owning a CV without a noticeable sound difference from my MIM Strat. Every guitar needs a personalized set-up to smooth out imperfections while adjusting the action and string gauge. No biggie - i personality like action so low the six string can nearly play itself...rock on Alan 🎸 🤘🤘🤘 in 23 Geargasms is growing X-Po-nen-Chilly 😁
