Best way to make yourself feel better, don’t think of it as 86% favourite, think of it as 1/7 chance he gets there. 1/7 is pretty high, bound to happen once or twice per session.

Whats running it twice ? I only played it poker super standard o.O
@dashyz32939 ай бұрын
When all playing players have gone all-in, someone can suggest to run it multiple times. That means, from the current board state, the dealer will draw cards acting as if they are playing the hand as many times as agreed upon. e.g. here, the decision was made after the flop, before the turn. The dealer will draw 2 cards per run. If action is resolved preflop the dealer will draw 5 cards per run. If after the turn but before the river, 1 card per run. While some people consider it rude for the person with the losing hand to suggest it, others may not, and some people also consider it fine if you have a flush or straight draw.

What is the difference between between the first turn & river and the second one? When I played poker it was only one. Is it a different kind of game? Variation?
@thatdrewmoore4 ай бұрын
They decided to run it twice. That's what the "Once or Twice" was. This means that instead of doing one turn, and one river, they would be doing two instead. That means the first run is the flop plus the 6 and 10 of clubs, which is for half the pot. The next run is the flop plus the 6 of diamonds and 2 of hearts for the remaining half. This is just standard Texas Hold'em, just with an agreement to run the board twice. You don't normally see this stuff unless you're in a cash game. I have never played in a tournament that allows it.

Why check-raise flop? I mean they proooobably aren't getting away with an overpair, but might as well flat, and let them keep barreling just in case they find a miracle fold since I mean we're really only repping sets or small freq combo draw. They may also continue barreling with AK this way and only one combo of AcKc, doesn't feel like a getting out of line with AXs or I'd assign a small freq again. Just heavy have them crushed, and let them continue - Board is wet, sure, but not for our defined ranges.
