Back in 2002, Zapco introduced the C2K-4KW which incorporated two C2K-9.0XD boards into a single amp chassis. The amp originally listed at $5999 USD and has become one of those unicorn amps for those of us who care.
The 4kW is rated to deliver:
600x4 at 4 ohms (or 1200x2 bridged at 8 ohms)
1000x4 at 2 ohms (or 2000x2 bridged at 4 ohms)
According to Zapco, over 5kW total power

I've had this idea for a while and maybe you're the one that can test if it's possible hahaha. Could an Amp be used as a power inverter?? If you feed a signal of 60 hz and play with the gains until you get 110 volts, could you power house electronics?

Just came across this video. LOVE IT! Bunch of fun facts on these amps. Back in the early 2000's bass competition scene, we ran an extensive amount of Zapco amps. In fact, we had (28) c2k-9.0's come in on ONE purchase order in 2001. Six for our Team Sweet Sounds CRX (running 2 - triple coil custom made DD 9515), 8 for Dan's Jeep (which burned up in a fire!), 2 for Matt's CRX and 10 for Ryan's Blazer plus a few spares. That's still one of the largest purchase order's we've made in 30 years lol. We set many world records and won a few world championships with those amps. With the seemingly tightly regulated power supply in these amps, voltage drop wasn't too much of a concern as long as you could supply the current for them. Stinger AGM batteries were our choice at the time. We could routinely pull 300A of current on each amp and with some box tuning, even pull 400A on occasion which was crazy at that time. Tuning a bank of these amps was incredibly easy as the precision components and gain setting adjustment made every amp nearly perfectly identical and since the gain was "set", it never varied after the original adjustment. Great for competition. Early when the amps came out, they didn't like low loads and required a couple of surface mount resistors to be soldered onto the board so they didn't go into protect so easily. My early years of modding PlayStation boards came in handy at that time. When the 4KW was first released, Zapco sent me the first 3 UNITS ever made. In fact, the first 4kw's weren't amps at all, they just sent the bars and end plates to modify the 9.0's into 4kw's for use in dBDrag and we had them before anyone else in the world...arriving just a couple weeks before World Finals if memory serves. Some time later after we had mostly exited the competition scene, Michael Müller aka The Big Oki from Europe was on a tour of the USA and he stopped by our store in MN and I gave him the 4kw pieces for his Zapco collection and he even wanted me to autograph them. I imagine he still has them. He had 50 of them last I heard. So many memories surrounding those amps. Those were good times. Amazing amps! Thanks for putting up this review.

Wow! It was available in 2002, that answers the question from a previous video, the comment section was trying to determine what year those came out, most were saying 2004-2006 range. We were all wrong, it was 2 years prior to my guess.
@wal2

Could have still been available in that range

We received the very first three available shortly before World Finals in 2002. I mentioned in another post, those three came as "kits" without the amps. We had to add two 9.0's into the kits to make the 4kw's. Good times!

@@wal2 I really was referring to the 2016 version, but I have a question for you , a few days ago I was just looking at the amp rack( nothing like you have, but I have around 15 amps I collected over the years, and most of them i have never hooked up because you know how it is when you go to dp sound offs, someone always selling old amps, but anyway I looked at my Mtx tc 400.4 and see that one of the kids stuck a pencil in the Rica's and pulled out the plastic insert, so I pull it off and fixed it, but when I hooked it up I couldn't believe it, 400 Watts of class ab sounded ( no exaggeration) 6db louder than my eclipse 500 watt class d. I don't think I'll ever run another class d amp ever again, because every class d amp I have never sounded like my first real system and that was 2 15's kicker gold letters 1992 on a kenwood 921 ( I still have one) and a Mt blue thunder full range box with two 15's 4 5in midranges and two horn tweeters on a sherwood Bp 240 ( I have Bp 180, wish I could find a Bp 240) I guess its true what they say, no replacement for displacement

You have to understand as well, that there are car audiophile purists who are devoted to old school car audio. They "everyone" are referring to the true Zapco that holds the original Zapco name as Zeff Advanced Product Co. Only the amps that were design by Robert Zeff in Modesto California and assembled in USA. Im a local to this area of California and these old school Zapco amps are highly sought after by the SQ car audio enthusiast of this area. It is said that these Zeff amps hold the true essence and sound quality of what is known as old school car audio. This is only a slight glimpse on what these people are referring to here with the old vs new Zapco name. Robert Zeff still designs amps for Arc Audio which headquarters happened to be located in Modesto California.
