Disaster strikes!
No sooner did I return fom the Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway's half-term week than my computer died. Locals were unable to repair it - it will have to be returned to the manufacturer, leaving me without a PC for - possibly - weeks. I've had to indulge in a laptop for the first time in over ten years. Many of my most trusted programmes are on DVD - and modern laptops are not fitted with CD/DVD players. I find myself having to use old software whose installation files had been kept on external storage. If I had any hair left, I'd be pulling it out!
My first attempt then at producing a video with old software on a limited machine.

Great composition and continuity: especially like the shot of sNG reversing out followed by the 66 with track panels made by the two gents walking into the right hand side of the frame! I'm a relatively regular traveller passing through Carlisle and even now it's such a lovely station. Thank you, Dudley

- - and thank you Dudley. Carlisle is a lovely open station and sees more steam trains than anywhere else in Britain. I'm fortunate to live within easy travelling distance so am able to spend a good deal of time there - friendly staff too. Hopefully I'll be able to continue for some time to come .

We were on that journey coach E seats 25 & 26. What a beautiful train pulled by the most beautiful steam train and the customer service is second to none, the food was excellent and the champagne went down really well our server Phillip was very attentive. Will definitely be booking another journey

Good coverage dispite all your trials and tribulations, alway great to see the highly polished SNG. Carlisle station takes some beating.

Well you did it! Just hope your PC arrives back in one piece. I waited to watch this until I'd got my own video ready for publication. Looks a good reflection of that day

It looked a good sunny day. I decided on going to York where it was also sunny but not very warm. I looked if I could get here in time for the departure but it was not going to work out.

A bit breezy - certainly too fresh for the drone - but otherwise not bad. I was quite comfortable in shorts all day!

Thank you for your kind words - I'm not looking forward to the next few weeks of having to work on a small laptop with out-of-date software but - we'll get there!
