60007 Sir Nigel Gresley Chases The Sunset! Edinburgh Christmas Market 23rd November 2023

What a day indeed! Took quite a few risks today with regards to filming locations for the Steam Dream's London To Edinburgh Christmas Market Railtour operated by Locomotive Services Group Limited.
Braving the East Coast mainline from York To Edinburgh, EX London and North Eastern Railway Class A4 60007 or LNER 4498 Sir Nigel Gresley put on a fine performance!
We begin at the roof of Newcastle Castle to see 60007 gracefully navigate the curves of Central Station and then we see her passing the Black Gate. The weather proved to be very challenging but thankfully the sky cleared wonderfully!
We finish the day at Alnmouth station in Northumberland to see 60007 tearing through the night putting on a fine display! There was quite some trepidation on my part due to possibility of being bowled out by Azumas! But thanks to an incident at Morpeth disaster was averted and it seemed the crew were working extra hard to make up for lost time, as shown by the incredible glow from the fire!
