They are ok motors. If you want a reliable daily driver they're safe upto 520-540 crank hp/500 tq, above that, then you'll need to get it built if you want 600 crank hp/530 whp.

KONTRAone I think they use vermicular graphite cast iron blocks, which are literally the strongest blocks you can get aside from billet. Literally multiple times stronger than even standard cast iron blocks. Damn near indestructible.

I did not expect that 5 cylinder motor to sound so similar to the R8 engine. Makes sense that it would, but How close was amazing. I've heard other stock and tuned 5 cyl's before and they sound characteristically different, like a crapped out LS dropping cylinders. (The one in the colorado pretty much is)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the Audi 5 cylinder is actually half a lambo v10? Same on the inside as it is on the outside? Underground Racing should start doing R&D on this platform 😀... Or never mind cause their stage 1 would cost twice this car 😁😬😳

The "lambo V10" isn't actually a lambo engine, at least not anymore, lambo only made a V10 from 2004 to 2007 iirc, it was a 5.0 and it was a terribly unreliable engine so they replaced it with the audi 5.2 for the 2008 and newer cars, people thought the R8 got the Gallardos V10 but really the Gallardo got the R8's. The 2.5tfsi is unrelated to this engine (they have different bore spacing, 88 mm on the 2.5tfsi and 90 on the 5.2). The V10 is a derivation of the V8.

It sounds like an R8 because Audi literally took the 5.0 V10 Twin Turbo from the R8 and cut it in half and made this 2.5 In-line 5 cylinder single turbo. It’s just half an R8 engine.

My dad has an rs6 with 675 hp , 0-60 in less than 2.9 seconds and it has a rare mod in the exhaust which was developed and tested in a formula 1 track. It has stock exterior (wheels,wing) and it’s a station wagon so it’s kinda heavy and less aerodynamic
