In 2001, President George W. Bush famously said he looked into Putin’s eyes and saw his soul. What does the French president now see in those eyes?

you restore an empire by making your people live well, by bettering health care, education, infrastructure etc. Not by starting a brainless war. I very much liked the answer of random Russians asked in the street "do you think we need more territory" - referring to the invasion of Ukraine. They put it perfectly and responded something like "we have enough territory, we just need to do better things with it and make it a better place to live". Cannot say it better.
@deItorro
@deItorro Жыл бұрын
Putin is a failure. The only thing he has restored - is fear and hoplessness. I'm saying that being in Moscow. This is how it feels here. Many people say before 2022 "let him reign...it won't be worth anyway"...this is Russian mentality as it is. No hope, no vision of the future - just don't make thing worse...But eventually he did! And many people still refuse to believe, because this is the end for them. They aren't able to cope with such thought short-term.

English *is* the world language and I think it is enormous progress that a European president uses it when appropriate. In my opinion this is clear progress for France, for Europe and for the world. And I say this as a European citizen myself. It would be utterly idiotic if my local prime minister or king would speak a local language when dealing with international colleagues.
@compareFirepower
@compareFirepower Жыл бұрын
@@mhsmit There are a few points that could be made in refutation of the statement that it is always appropriate for a European president, or any leader, to use English when speaking with international colleagues: 1. Using a local language can show respect for and appreciation of cultural diversity. By using a language other than English, a leader can demonstrate that they value and respect the culture and language of their own country, as well as those of their international colleagues. This can foster a sense of inclusivity and mutual understanding. 2. Using a local language can facilitate better communication. Depending on the context and the audience, using a local language may be more effective at conveying meaning and fostering understanding. For example, if a leader is speaking to an audience that is not fluent in English, using a local language could help to ensure that the message is understood by all. 3. Using a local language can be a symbol of national pride. For many people, their native language is a source of pride and a central aspect of their cultural identity. By using a local language, a leader can show respect for and celebrate the unique culture and identity of their country. 4. There is no one "world language." While English is certainly widely spoken and used as a lingua franca in many contexts, it is not the only language that is spoken or used around the world. There are many other languages that are also important and widely spoken, and it is important to recognize and respect the diversity of languages and cultures that exist globally. Internationally, Spanish has more speakers than English, albeit as I previously mentioned, that argument is not accurate in the first place.

@@user-cs5bn6tu1f local languages are remainders of a primitive past. Humans are more than capable of overcoming them. And this has nothing to do with “Anglo-Saxon world”. It is important for western civilisation that souls from Croatia and Russia and maybe some other Slavic countries are reincarnated there so that this civilisations can have some level. That under the current conditions of perturbation our planet is subjected to. Maybe under calm circumstances all kinds of German and Roman nations wouldn’t be so dependent. And Roman group is not even one that naturally emerged but a byproduct of one dead imperium. In this interview Macron gives great answers on good questions. I mean in the rest of interview also, but it isn’t clear why it was conducted. There’s nothing extra in it like a human reason for that. The truth is that in the films from matrix series the only real character if ‘Frenchman’ - by name. And his wife. You see that after the structure of matrix crumbles after lot of watching. As in Casablanca film. How much watches? O such much? It is like good pictures wrapped around wrong characters. So ‘you’ must love it for a wile even if they are the echos of your mind. And in the world were there is so much to do for a soul that is somewhat more heterosexual it has happened that supposed scenarists have unusual background. And I have known that it will be so even before they were born. You set America on course of confusion about genders expecting that they will be on right course after just few moments and learn something from it, but they are not. You think that they will see how you are aware of your heterosexuality even before you are born and that it is wrongly assumed that the world is more perfect than it actually is. So that problems for heterosexual person are not regarded to be systemic. There is nothing to be solved there and all the complications are just intrinsic and unavoidable part of living condition. And religious organisations profit from ‘that’. They negate that we are connected with the Space.

And I don’t like to repeat myself but it was self complimenting. If he can recognise good soul that means that he himself has soul, and probably the good one.

How SWEETLY he rubbished those claims that they wanted to destroy Russia. If really so, then why played around with Minsk Agreements? With this same "sweetness" they have been doing all sorts of destruction since ages. But no one ever questioned, nor questions them for that. Because they are "sweet people". And sweet people can do no wrong thing. Isn't it?

Has there ever been a case of an empire collapsing and then resurrecting itself whether through invasion or really through any means? Justinian tried and seemed to be having success but then ultimately failed for the Eastern Roman Empire. That's probably the closest an empire has gotten to resurrecting itself after a collapse and that was 1500 years ago!
