Be careful and be safe. I am happy we are supplying these weapons to Ukraine. As a defense expert with 43 years of experience, for those using tanks or the Bradley with the anti-tank missiles, hesitation, indecision and delay can lead to instant death. Those who are slow and indecisive and fail to fire first, almost always lose the fight. The vehicle who gets out the first shot normally wins. So commander and crew decisiveness and efficiency are very important. Sometimes you don't have time to think -- only react. So you do your thinking ahead of time and instantly react to the situation.

Russian news, talk shows and all other state media talk about attacking or invading other countries around them all the time. One day the claim Alaska is still theirs the next Kazakhstan is full of Nazi's and should be liberated and on another day the claim they should march on Berlin. They took parts of Georgia then they took parts of Ukraine and in 2022 they tried to take it all. People need to understand that every inch given to Russia is an invitation for them to take more.

The USA supporting Ukraine is a no-brainer, only wish we could get them the weapons they needed sooner, but it's only about 5% of the whole military budget we are spending in Ukraine, so to degrade Russia only using 5% is smart, China is watching how committed we are to the defense of Ukraine, with their eyes on Taiwan.

It doesn't matter in the big scheme of things. A direct hit blows up Bradley's, Challengers and German supplied tank! Abraham will be next. Ukraine can not win this war.... I fear that is a misconception. Maybe that would be true if Ukraine received the most modern F-16s, who's radar can outrange that of the Russian aircraft patrolling above the battlefields, but I don't think that is what Ukraine is getting. AFAIK these will be older F-16s, and while better than what they have now, I don't think they will give Ukraine any capabilities beyond what they already have. They will just (a) replace aircraft they have lost, and (b) allow Ukraine to use western ordinance. Both are important, and that will save Ukrainian lives, but neither is game-changing. If we're honest, even the US would struggle to take full control of the airspace on Russia's border. The Russian military was specifically built to deny the US that advantage. The modern weapons that would instantly have a huge impact, like SEAD F-16s, F-35s or very long range ballistic missiles to take out military production facilities in eastern Russia (Sukhoi, Mikoyan, etc), are not things Ukraine will receive, or at least I don't think so.

If I understand correctly, the Ukrainians are using the superior optics and sensors of their Bradley IFVs to provide long-range fire support for their more numerous BMPs and BTRs. After the early vehicles losses during the first week of the counteroffensive which has provided a propaganda win for Russia, it is good to know that the Ukrainians have learned their lessons and used their Bradleys more cautiously and effectively.
@daemon7225
@daemon7225 9 ай бұрын
They've lost nearly 55 bradleys so really it's not more effective or cautiously, they've basically stopped using them how NATO/USA wanted them to which was combined arms with Leopards and Challengers. They are using them to transport infantry and support infantry attacks, not much BMPS/BTRs can do against an ATGM/mine. They've been using alot less leopards in the south because they are so easily disabled by artillery, mlrs, atgm etc etc. It's more to save the vehicles they have and they desperately need.

@@ElwoodBluesAK actually they arent doing that anymore. they are replacing the turrets and putting a40mm cannon it. the only reason they would replace the bradley is because of age and not capability. especially compared to the bmp. we at bmp for lunch in our bradleys. the bradley is almost as heavy as the t72 because of it superior armor. the bmp is half again lighter and my 25mm cannon ripped the bmp apart. the bmp couldnt even hit us most of the time because our smaller cannon out ranged their larger cannon. our fire control system is also far superior and our optics are superior than anything in a bmp or in their tanks. i dont even think the bmp can see at night because its night vision is garbage in comparison. in fact bradley has flir and thermal. the bmp has what? the old school starlight type night vision. the crew in the back of the bmp have to climb over the engine to get out. no that doesnt slow things down at all. not to mention how cramped the bmp is comparisson with that little tiny turret with armor that barely stops a 50 caliber round. russia equipment does not stand a chance compared to western equipment. the funny thing is the people bias for the bmp have not even been in one and have never sat in a bradley and have not operated either vehicle. which makes me wonder how they even know what is better in the first place. reading the internet and playing battlefield 4 i guess. bmp is superior is one of the funniest things i have ever heard in my life.

Bradley vehicles helped Ukraine win the battle for Robotyne, which enraged the Russians. There were still civilians cowering in basements. Ukrainian soldiers were evacuating them when 1 civilian asked if he could drive his car out, sandwiched between 2 Bradley vehicles. A car he'd spent his life savings on, before the war. Ukraine hasnt destroyed sh*t and it costs the us taxpayer way more. Because you will have to buy more vehicles in the fiture to replace the ones from the reserve you gave to the ukrainians. You also gave them above 170 billion in economic aid and it appear you will be giving them more. This may grow to a trillion one day who knows. Currently the salaries of many working in ukraine's civil services are directly paid by the US.

If that is true then why hasn't Russia take over all of Ukraine? Any modern country has a half of a percent of the population in an active duty force, meaning Ukraine would of started the war with 200,000 active duty. Russia had approximately 750,000 with a GDP of 4 percent spent on defense. On Oryx, which uses visual confirmation on equipment, Russia has depleted their tank force and had to to pull T-55 and T-62's from storage.

Ok first Ukraine is not under any means democratic. They are not going to have an election this year and zelenski has made a lot of authoritarian choices( ie banning other political parties). As a united states citizen we get absolutely nothing from helping Ukraine, its actually a detriment to us to do so. Second china cannot attack the untied states by any means other than economic or nuclear, in both cases they loose that fight as much or more than the united states. The best possible thing we can do in America is focus on domestic issues for the next 40 years and let the other countries squabble.

"Pentagon Wars" is a work of fiction loosely based in reality. The "fighter mafia" was a group of sociopathic morons, that impeded the development of useful equipment like the Bradley. These myths were a lot more prevelant in the 2000s and 2010s, but today I'm happy to say their mostly debunked and widely viewed as they should be. Ask around some defense communities about Pentagon Wars, you'll find out why it's fiction.

But also, the RPG can take out litterally every light vehicle. BMP, BMD, Warrior, Bradely, Puma, etc. They're light vehicles for a reason. The want of resources on the other hand will instigate a war or invasion. Ru annexed the DPR and LPR because they had over 110 mines (since only 5 are still functioning due to poor management and employees being sent to the meat grinder.) Crimea is strategic for the entire Black Sea.

On the other hand, there are journalists, who want to report news from the field. They come to Ukraine and talk to regular soldiers. US supplies Ukraine with weapons, and the journalists want to be sure it is used as intended, right? So there is actually pretty impossible to find any sign or evidence the video promotes anything. There are plans to replace Bradleys in US army. They are not produced anymore so I guess there is no need to promote them. With respect; just applying some logic.
