It turns out this documentary missed a key event in 611's career: In 1952, she along with her sister 613 was tasked with pulling Dwight Eisenhower's presidential campaign train from Columbus, Ohio to Kenova, West Virginia! The N&W Historical Society apparently discovered this a few years ago when sorting through old operating records. How's that for a famous passenger?

I bet those men who brought her back to life never expected one day they’d be doing something so grand, what an achievement. Imagine driving her with a big grin on your face.

Neat video of the Powhatan Arrow with a New York Central sleeping car in the consist. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe those were specifically added for Navy sailors heading to Norfolk via a connection at Cincinnati.
