several things that youngman will never forget is the sounds, smell and sights of the west! As he grows older he can close his eyes and have those memories to smile upon! Goodstuff! Carry on

You’re giving your grandson the summer of a lifetime. And there’ll come the time that he recounts these adventures with his grandchildren. I just love that.

Been there several times. The campground is very close to tower but small and along a beautiful stream with great views of Devils Tower. You walk along a prairie dog town while hiking a great trail from the campground to the tower and there is a nice visitor center there to visit. Also the tower attracts lots of climbers. Surprised none were spotted. You still may be able to see remnants of the wooden ladder used by the pioneer ranchers who first climbed it. For sure check it out if you are in the Black Hills. Also in the area at Sundance along I-90 there is a Buffalo Jump the native americans used. Awesome place.

As always another great video. I so enjoy so much going with you and seeing this great country. Thank you so much for sharing. I consider part of my family. I know you miss your grandson after he had to go back home. He is so cute. I hope you all have a wonderful and blessed week.

Of course you are part of the family. 🤗 oh we do miss him but, they started school already. This is his first year of Junior High and he made the football team. He was so excited about that. We are excited for him too. 😀

Close encounter with a rattle snake. Beautiful shots you got there. Nice blue sky too. I am envyous. Say you guys should carry water with you when you hike around like that.

Devil’s Tower is very sacred to the local tribes. I heard they ask people not to climb the tower in June due to Native American rituals that are held there. Great view of the tower as you climbed. They tell people to avoid going into the rocks due to all of the rattlesnakes. I may visit there next year in July.

Yes no climbing in June. It’s an awesome place. We would not let him climb through the rocks even though he wanted to. 😊
