I can’t agree more with the owner of the Impala. You can tell the difference in enthusiasm, spirit, and craftsmanship with ZHP. I wish I was closer so I could utilize his skills. Quality, honest work is hard to find nowadays.

I've always been a Chevy guy. My first car as a licensed driver was a 65 Impala SS 409 4 speed. I only got it because it was so rare. Every factory option Chevrolet offered in 65,,, EVERYTHING, But,,,,I always wanted a 62-64 Impala To me those were the prettiest bodies of ANY Impala. This one is drop dead gorgeous,

I love your selection of anniversary gold for your impala. It was my favorite in the 1962 pallet of color selection for Chevrolet. My cousin had a 1962 Chevy Impala super sport convertible with a 4-speed and the 300 hp 327 V-8. She lost her license drag racing it, but she never lost a race. She ordered it in anniversary gold.

Yes, you did an awesome job and with great knowledge, skill, and craftsmanship! I have had a number of 62 Impalas. They are awesome cars! Props to the owner as well. Nice guy!

That's a sweet '62. Paint code 927, Anniversary Gold Poly. The gold '62's were supposed to commemorate Chevrolets 50th anniversary even though it was a year earlier. Your work is top notch, I so respect your attention to detail. Mods look clean under the hood, almost factory. Kudos to the owner, less is more, the styling of Late Greats has stood the test of time. One respectful suggestion, lose the hillbilly tail pipes. The exit out behind the rear wheels is much cleaner, Chevrolet did it right. I own a '63SS 4spd A/C car, buddy owns the same only a '62. Owned them for decades and competed in national meets. They are perfection IMHO. Thanks for sharing.

You might want to build that engine with a .097 fuel injection cam and replace the 4 barrel with 3 two barrel carburetors with direct linkage. You can easily bump up to 350 hp or more.

I watched all the videos you posted on this car. Looks great. But i was looking for info on the tilt steering column. Who makes it and what was the solution for the shift indicator ?
@ZHPGarage2 жыл бұрын
The column is an ididit column from Classic Industries. We ordered an indicator and installed it onto the column.

My father had a "62 "Autumn Gold" SS back in the day....327,4 bbl,4 speed.....It was stolen back in "68 right in front of our house..... Insurance paid out only $800.00 as that was the going price back then.....It's a long shot but if someone,somewhere still has this car, insurance could claim it back from the current owner and my father could "buy" it back from the insurance company for the same $800.00.😂😂😂😂😂....But in reality it was probably chopped up within a week of being stolen.😢😢😢😢

Hello I have a 1964 Impala SS 327 in almost the same condition. Also in comparison I need most of same systems installed. Disk brakes, upgraded cylinder and booster, updated power steering system, and Total electrical wiring harness replacement. I have all these parts ready. What ia the estimated price for these installs? Thanks

What’s the knob under the ac controls?

That’s the factory passenger vent. Pull the knob and it opens the vent.

I guess the "owner" is the videographer. Never see him so much as picking up a wrench.

You’re right, I haven’t picked up a wrench before. I’ve picked up two wrenches. Definitely not the owner though, you should probably watch the video again.

I agree on the 62 owner master mechanic lots of knowledge in his head pass by generations. He can make fabrication. I’m really temp to get my 86 g20 to get fix by ZHPGARAGE. If can’t figureit out. This right person to go. I can see how happy is the 62 implant owner he got the bad ass car love the interior well maintained & the paint looks good
