Please keep an eye on Aspen as the weather heats up. This thick furred breed heats up way faster than human beings. He feels the heat more intensely than you. Consider having a kiddy pool he can jump into and cool off. See he's finding shade. That means he really needs to cool his body, internally and externally. Best of luck gardening this summer.

I love watching you work and listening to your beautiful accent….especially since in a previous life, I also had a farm and large diversified gardens for 20 years….annuals, perennials, herbs and vegetables….we decided to sell it when my wife became ill and eventually passed…so watching you brings back beautiful memories of us working in the gardens all the time….thank you from Montreal…

Plant sweet potatoes, black eyed peas, okra, eggplant. Armenian cucumbers. Peppers. They will thrive in high heat. Also try shade cloth. It will drop the temperature. 50/50 mix of whole mix and water helps prevent powdery mildew.

I hope one day you'll consider a climate-controlled greenhouse. They come in so many sizes and styles that one is certain to fit your needs and budget priorities. It's the one opportunity you'll have to get new things that have a better chance at thriving, b/c of internal regulation.
