Very nice! Like the way you finished up the edges to cover up the edge of the water. Keep up the good work!

Hi Kevin nice job on the river. I’ll be tackling that same type of project here in the near future

Hi ya Kevin. Nice Athearn box cars. The Kato set you won from Cuz Vinny at Christmas were nice too. Although you has a couple of hiccups on the “ water “ pour, it came out fine in the end. You understand about the color mixing, so I won’t talk about that. In regards the dam. And this is for anyone thinking about using resin pours for water features. Get yourself some clear plastic strips a little longer than the width of the feature. Glue them onto the front of the modular/layout using a PVA type glue. Do your pour. When it’s 100% dry, gently pry the plastic dam off. Any excess glue can be cut away with a hobby blade. Touch up your facia if needed. You get a nice clear edge. And a depth of “ water “ to look at too. That’s my 2 cents worth. Thanks for the update. See ya next time. Enjoy your train shows.

Nice river module , had the same thing happened to me, this is how I fixed , where you have that front piece added on ,just raise it up and mix up some more river mix just enough to fill front gap , let harden and remove front piece, on the very edge a little filing will smooth it out and blend in nicely

Great video,was wondering do you prefer 2ft or 3ft modules and what are most of you modules consist of, keep up the great work
@kevinbrown1042 жыл бұрын
I really prefer the 2ft modules. There is enough room for scenery and some switches, and they are quite easy to store and transport. I use 3' modules only when complex track work requires it, such as my station approach module at Brownsville and the Blair Yard modules. My duck-under module is a skinny 3ft module too, because it needed to bridge the gap. Thanks for your comments - Kevin.
