63 Turbo WBX Powered VW Beetle clutch removal, heat management and turbo oil feed

This time I drop the engine out of the '63 Beetle because the clutch is absolutely fried! While it's out, I start working my way through a long list of other small jobs to improve things.

Nice work, thanks for sharing! What engine case is that in the video at 10:40? I thought at one time you were using a Suburu block but I could've swore I saw a VW logo. It almost looks like a type 4 VW engine you have, but I'm probably a bit crazy. Sorry for my confusion 😁 EDIT: I figured it out. WBX is "Water Boxer" and is a VW Vanagon engine albeit watercooled. I hope I have that right, sorry again for my silly question and ignorance! I'm glad you have VW power after all LOL.

Yep, it's a 1900DG waterboxer out of a vanagon. They can make big power with just a few mods and they cope really well with lots of boost too. When this was first built, Subaru swaps were quite rare, but now every time I'm at a show, I have to keep explaining that it's not a Subaru! 😂
