Perfect timing for me that you did this as a couple days ago I was sorting out the craft she-shed and looked at two big tubs of wine/champagne other glasses that I had bought a couple years ago and was going to do something with candles but never got around to it. So, I've been thinking about doing something with resin along these lines and watching this has helped a lot. We moved to FL 3 years ago and have been in the sweet spot of protection at our house and so far the only thing that has happened is we lost one roof shingle and loosened enough that our insurance is paying for a new roof but we can't get it scheduled until Nov. so hope the rest stay in place until then. I pray that Milton calms down to a 1 or less by the time he gets to land anywhere in FL. Love and prayers to all. ❤🙏

They are all so beautiful 😍 I really like this idea . If you put the shells in a little bit of resin upside down a lot of the air comes out. It works for the starfish too. You can put in the de-bubbler at a lower setting and more of the air comes out . Just keep an eye on it. Place in your project upside down and turn it over once it is submerged. PRESTO! No need to push it down so much 😊... Thanks so very much for all you do and share. 😊

I L-O-V-E the first one. I think the water color is wonderful. I just wish you’d put another succulent in it. I think it was really clever putting the shells on the end of the plants. I thought for sure you would mix the sand in a cup first, so that was a surprise. I think they are all really lovely and you did a great job!❤

Hey Michelle, when i do beach stuff i do these things 1. Mix a little bit of store bought white sand in with my real sand so its not so dark. 2. Only add Elmer's clear glue to the sand and add all your shells and things to it and let it harden up a bit. It takes some learning to get the right consistency so that your sand isnt too smooshy that the shells will sink but not too thick that it is weird blobs. When i do that, i also fill any shells that will float with my clear glue and let dry. You can give them a blast with your heat gun for a min every 10 mins or so to help the whole drying process. And last, for the waves, i use a small thin line of clear resin where my shore line is and then right ABOVE it put the white, very thin line. Let's Resin has Titanium White pigment paste I believe, that makes amazing cells (unless that's made by Color Passion). After im done, depending on my project I will go over the shore line with a tiny line of white paste mixed with UV and then do the bubble technique. I will pist on fb page.

I think you could easily ship the beach glasses by wrapping them in bubble wrap to put in a box then put that box in a little bigger one with bubble wrap around the first box and ship. What an AMAZING IDEA!! I LOVE it!! 😊 Michelle, could you maybe use some painters tape (or some kind of tape) and some Saran Wrap on the outside of the glass...to keep it clean until you're done with the resin?? Just a thought...you might want to try it!! My other idea, is maybe whether you use the shell or the sand (or a combo of the 2)...let it cure for a while until it's really tacky...then put your shells in. I thought of this for 2 reasons. 1 of course is to help hold down the shells and starfish. And 2 maybe then all the clear you mix with the crushed shells and/or sand won't dilute your blue water. Then you can add the rest of your blue resin to fill it up. Cuz I think that is what really diluted down your blue in your first glass. Tell me what ya think??

I wonder if you do it again, before you do it take the shells and fill with reisn or uv resin and cure them before adding them. Or fill them with sand and uv the opening. Maybe someone would have another idea.

These look cool, although I'm not sure about the shells with plants floating on the top - I guess it makes sense with live plants so they don't die. I also think you're right about completely curing the sand through before adding anything to it, so you don't get a ton of bubbles that block the view of all the shells etc. Maybe you could add in some little resin/plastic fish or sealife too! That would look cool!
