I'm a impala guy I own a 64 and 63. I did a mini restore on the 64. I did everything except take it off the frame and take the doors off. I was too afraid of not getting factory gaps back . I love your work my ultimate goal is to get a 62-64 wagon and that one will be a frame off restoration. Keep up the good work and I look forward to seeing more videos until you're finished with the 64.

Really good info! That firewall looks great. I'm sold and will be doing mine same way. Would you recommend this bc/cc for frame and suspension components? Thanks!!

I dont see it being a problem as long as it done correctly. I dont know how well it will hold up in comparison to chassis black, por15, or other things that are specifically made for frames and suspensions. I guess it probably mainly depends on your location. If you plan on using it in snow/salt I would probably lean more towards powder coat or a coating meant for frames.

@BPB Restorations That's an awesome colour! I'm having a hell of a time trying to decide what colour to paint mine. Only because it's factory White with White and Azure interior. I figure the white seats would be a headache to keep clean.. and I think the 64 Impala looks best in dark colors. Just my personal opinion

I would never prime any work until its blocked down to 180 grit sand paper then your build or 2k primer then I block again with 320 grit and spot prime the thin and bare metal areas then I 600 grit before final paint after paint then I 1000 it 1500 it 2000 it 2500 it and final sand with 5000
