After getting the 64 Impala front end sheet metal in order its time for the front bumper. I did run into something unexpected, and I've also got something in store for next week. If you want to check out the fastener kit I mentioned on this part of the project you find it at www.jdoqocy.com/click-100845357-11554339?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.partsgeek.com%2Fcatalog%2F1964%2Fchevrolet%2Fimpala%2Fbody_mechanical_-ar-_trim%2Ffender_hardware_kit.html I may make a small commission from PartsGeek.com if you purchase something.

See the chapter called "Is the frame bent?" If you've got picks of that section of the frame on your 64 Impala, I'd like to see them.

A few hours ago I started digging into my 1964 Impala myself, and I started searching for parts. I need that "Splash guard" you called it at 8:45 and I can NOT find them anywhere. I found one website calling them a "Lower Inner Fender Filler Panel" but they're out of stock.

Ya. I know the one. I've seen it listed online but it's a long time since I've seen it. I've got some but I think they're rather pitted or bent. I'll have to check and see what kind of shape they're in.

@@padresprojects I got my passenger side off and it’s rusted to pieces 😬 Not sure the shape of the driver side I’m pretty confident it’s probably the same

Where did you get the snap on jig for the bumper guards..

I made those. I didn't do a video on that process though. It involved using a piece of body metal and heating/shaping it to conform to a damaged bumper section that already had the holes in the correct spot. That was my template. Each one took about an hour and a half to make.
