i have been talking and thinking about jojo for weeks. I have had these convos w an 18 y/o and my 5th grade age students who grew up looking up to her and buying her products. You are both right in that she is speaking with a wisdom that only a 18-21 year old can have where they think they know it all but still are little guys in the grand scheme. i hope she heals and when she spoke about her mom and parents on call her daddy i could see the trauma, but maybe to her it isn't trauma cause she feels like shes never struggled, she appreciates what she has and has worked for but has no idea what she has given up i believe.

I think JoJo was only on two seasons of dance moms. Season 5 and then part of season 6. There were 8 seasons & she returned for one episode in season 8. According to the internet so who knows. 😂

In high school as a bit I started to be a jojo stan then as the months went on it was becoming less of a bit and more of a lifestyle. I had a jojo siwa backpack my senior year and everyone knew I loved jojo so much that my english teacher saw a jojo poster at the store and bought it for me. So safe to say that her new era has been really embarrassing and giving me ptsd flashbacks to my stan era.

I think there is a huge disconnect between a song and art form coming from an individual and a song and art form coming from a committee. I think it’s like baseline cringe that she’s crying at the karma music video and hyping up all this stuff when it’s not a song she wrote about herself. Random comparison but In the D’melio show they showed Dixie going to a studio to “write” and there is a professional musician helping along the way and at a certain point it’s like did this song come from deep inside Dixie or just because she was able to pay for studio time? If JoJo actually wrote the songs and u could feel her within the music I think it would be soooo much more authentic. Instead it’s like “IM CREATING A FENRE OF POP….FROM A TEN YEAR OLD SONG I CHANGED FOUR WORDS TOO…..” like Girl I’ll always root for you but please have some self awareness and give us actual JoJo….. which relates back to the big question of who is she and will she be able to find that…. Without therapy very doubtful

I think yall are taking it every statement, action of her too literate and psychoanalyze it too much.
