The reason is, just starting an engine produces water vapor. And if you don’t run that engine for a long while, and riding it to burn all that water vapor off, the cold ambient temps will change that water vapor into condensation, which inturn, that condensation will eventually collect in your engine oil. So it is best NOT to start up your motorcycle at all during the winter months, but people believe starting their bikes up once a week in their garage for a few minutes is a good thing, but in reality it’s not!!!
