Welcome to this episode FLHP fam, where we journey to defy the odds with a 2022 Camaro ZL1. In this first episode, Erik, an expert in Camaro ZL1 performance, takes on the challenge that many say is impossible: making the ZL1 track-ready without the dreaded overheating issue.
Eddie, the proud owner of this beast, teamed up with Erik to push the boundaries of what the ZL1 can achieve. Erik meticulously crafted a setup that not only promises but delivers a staggering 650 horsepower tailored for road racing.
We'll go into the carefully selected components that make this transformation possible. From the fueling to the exhaust, every part has been chosen with one goal in mind: to create a reliable, track-worthy monster that defies the common misconceptions about the ZL1's track performance.

Great video and love the way to you explain things. I have a 17 Camaro ZL1 auto and like to road race as well. I have a roto fab and AWE catback exhaust . I would do the package you suggested but add two extra goodies which would be a catch can and Ron Davies exchanger (front only). Curious outside of cost why your package would not highly recommend these extra add ons which I think are essential. Thx!!!

Hey how are you. I mention in the video that I normally would upgrade those items, but for the sake of this test and racing data (see episode 2), we opted to leave those parts stock for the sake of collecting the most accurate data possible.

Good build. He will need the best brake fluid and tires to take that power. Very interested in how the Magride shocks and stock springs work out there. Rough track. Looking forward to that video.

How do you feel about the jms voltage booster to help with fueling?

BAPs have been around for years and can do the trick for not a lot of money. They’re are better products out there that do Not tax the stock fuel system though which is what we prefer.
