I've had this lock on my wishlist for over a year and never pulled the trigger because I figured this is what I'd find. Thanks for helping me save a few bucks! If the physical construction isn't too bad then maybe a core swap might keep it from being a total loss..?

That’s the problem.. 2 centurion locks for $13.99 is an awesome deal... if only the core was upgraded. It could easily be worth double.

Very nice job my friend

Thanks Bearsback, it’s a shame it could be worth more

I fervently picked up a similar looking lock. If nothing else they feel heavy and look good. With it shielded and security pins it might take a little longer to open. Edit: That should say 'Recently'...
@LegalLockPicker3 жыл бұрын
This could easily be a much better lock and absolutely worth picking up if you are willing to do the upgrades. No doubt this could be great

It's sad when a company can't be bothered to employ a 1¢ part to dramatically improve their product. Good info! Thanks!

At that price, *if* the shackle is hardened, it's worth it for an American or LOTO core swap.

I’m with you %100 silktheAbsent. That’s exactly what I am going to do.
@spandexsteve51563 жыл бұрын
Is the shackle at least hardened?

And would the master loto core fit?

I prefer the peterson bypass tool!!! I bought the Sparrows tool and it broke after a few uses! The peterson tool has lasted a long time. Also there's also the wafer breaker kit and the american Lishi
@LegalLockPicker3 жыл бұрын
Thanks, I’ll check out the Peterson tool and get back to you on that. I have noticed these don’t last long. Though it could be how I use them.
@Westhelockpicker3 жыл бұрын
@@LegalLockPicker I'm pretty sure the peterson will last cause I bought it a long time ago when I first started picking and that was years ago

Can you put a better core in it?
@DeadkingAZ3 жыл бұрын
You can. This is an extremely common thing to do with these American clones.

Very good demonstration my friend. This is a good looking lock that has been let down by the core. I wonder if it is actually hardened steel, or if that is also another let down. Thanks for this video, cheers
@LegalLockPicker3 жыл бұрын
Here’s the thing, you can get two of these locks for $13.99 which is for all intents and purposes a really good deal. All down the tubes from a core, which could easily be replaced.
@PocketWomen3 жыл бұрын
@@LegalLockPicker That is such a good price. If the body holds up to hardness testing, the changing out the core would get you a very secure lock
@lockhackeruk9003 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the vid, I know someone that uses one of these ... I'll pass the link onto him :)

Thanks, what are your thoughts on this lock? Worth changing cores or toss out completely?

I'm surprised it's not an Amazon Choice. Not sure if that's the name for products they recommend.

It’s a shame, but even if it were I can’t imagine people leaving positive comments .

Damn. With bitting that weak, you could probably open it with a tensioner. 😳
@11orkoslockpicks633 жыл бұрын
That is a shame. It's sad that customers look at it, and thinking they will get a secure lock. Totaly false security. Pitty. Anyway, nice pick and bypass
@gantry2893 жыл бұрын
It's too bad that such a nice looking, beefy lock is so badly made. There no reason they should let that bi-pass work. Thank for the video.
@LegalLockPicker3 жыл бұрын
For the awesome price of $13.99 this is really something to jump on.. then the core is an absolute let down
@DeadkingAZ3 жыл бұрын
What a wonderfully bad bypass training lock...

This is why I don't buy cheap locks.🙄

Yikes Lock Picking Lawyer did this lock 3 years ago and also recently to see if they had upgraded the lock to prevent the bypass pick. Your video looks like you watched lockpicking lawyers video and then did one on your own. Sorry dude.
