My key wouldnt turn. The key broke. Then i placed scissor tip in and it broke the scissor tip inside the lock. I dont know what to do now. Sentury 1100

There's a small niche of occasions when you want to pick vs break these locks. It may be faster to snap it open with 2 wrenches.

I have a master lock series m40blcdhc and we have them on fuel takes diesel tanks work fine but on the gasoline tank key won't work after a few months maybe the vapers gets inside and than it won't work. Why does this happen on gasoline tank only we are on the 3 lo ck how does the inside works

I’ve just had to pick one that was locking a pull up bollard so quite difficult to do in situ however I raked it very quickly. I then raked it four or five more times on the bench with no problems. Next day I can’t replicate it!! Very frustrating.

Problem here is your picking it upside (from the position that it would be if it were on a door). In my experience the pins fall and make it more difficult.

I found two of these exact locks at home and are my first ones to pick (only started a week ago). I had no idea that these were such a bear to pick for a beginner. One of them I was finally able to rake open only once. The other I picked after a day and thought I finally had it down after several attempts but I’ve been struggling with it again for some reason. Any tips?

i know a lot of people like the top of key way tension but for me, it’s bottom of the key way all day if i can….

coulda just comb picked it in about 3 seconds.. lol
