What a great talk and I have tried to hold adult conversations in my community and others. I faced many meetings and never asked back to some. Addicts are not scumbags, most are so hurt and in pain and we as a society should be ashamed on what we do and how we treat others. I did not grow up affected by drink or drugs but I have witnessed first hand the effects of trauma and abuse of children and not just in the city I'm talking about rural Ireland. Keep the talking going and anything I can do to help I will.

Fairplay, theres a derect link from trauma to addiction. I know first hand unfortunately.. I once had a circuit court judge , the same judge that sentenced my abuser ask a detective if he thought it was possible to go from abuse to this..... this been me in my broken chronic addictive state. My heart sank as did most normal people who witnessed his remarks...

That's a good interview. I'm not a fan of FF but Colm's take on drug policy is progressive and on point.

It's funny how when talking about illegal drugs the focus is always on negative like abuse and addiction but then talk of the high stool at the bar with live music and its all so positive. For me my drug of choice Cannabis never caused me harm but the people enforcing its prohibition have caused me great harm. I enjoyed this 1 like all the rest keep up the good work lads. 👏
