You could just slice it up, make it fit, make it fit nice and tight? Every wheelhouse I get I have to do the some sort of wheelhouse modifications. Any skilled metalworker can tackle this with great success.

For the parts of it I needed it wasn't worth the hassle. I ended up just fabricating some of it and then the rear I ended up getting that chunk from a friend that cut the quarter off a 65 for his car.

I was gonna say if that was absolute the only wheelhouse that was available (period) A mechanically inclined person or fabricator could spend some time and make it work, but sure it would be better to find one that fits better, of course. Good old Taiwan aftermarket body parts.....Making body man heavy drinkers since these parts first became a thing. LOL. I blame the insurance companies a lot for this, for them trying to dictate and demand there use, and body shop owners not having the guts to say NO WAY (usually direct repair shops giving huge discounts to insurance companies, to get work directed their way, with no regard to what the customer wants or thinks, or even knows about ) OK, I kind of got off topic there :-) I'm 62, and I've been in the autobody business since I was 18 years old… Started out as a technician, then manager, then I own my own "non-direct repair" body shop. Very nice Mustang, and what looks like a very quality build… Great job my friend

I had 2 of the cj pony ones for a 69. one side fit great. other was way off. couldnt get the quarter panel on

I really think there are 3 wheel houses made for classic cars. They are made in 3 sizes and they just say Oh this car uses size 2 so ship that one...

Wow, the shape is a little out of whack. You are right that would be a lot of effort to make it right.
