67 Designs Rail in a 2020 Mercedes Sprinter

Two 67 Designs Series 55 Rails installed on the lower dashboard of a 2020 Mercedes Sprinter VS30 with a 10" MBUX media system. Ventilation ducts are removed to access behind dashboard panel. One 100mm rail is installed on the driver's side and another on the passenger side with phone and tablet holders for an iPad mini running GAIA GPS.

Chris, thanks so much for this video. It saved my bacon. There may have been a minor design change in the 2021 Sprinter in that I had to remove a portion of a plastic strut to make it work. Dremel to the rescue. I enjoy all of your videos. Thanks so much!

Wait, what, you drilled holes in your dash; in my book that is the most intrusive thing you can do! There are several options available that do not require ruining your dash.

Solid video Chris. I’m curious how this is held up after a year? Or after a years worth of bumpy roads? When you hang an iPad mini on that ball mount can you get it tight enough that it doesn’t droop after a few miles?

I've done this on my Sprinter. The driver's side is a little loose: I'm going to put a larger bracket behind it, or open it up and put some Locktite on the screws that mate it with the plastic. It got a little wobbly b/c I use a magnetic holder for the GMRS radio (from 67 Designs) and the pulling force is too strong, putting too much stress. For phones and a mini-iPad though? No problem at all.

Winnebago installs the faux carbon fiber when building the Revel.
