Came out great! Thanks for walking us through your process, it will definitely help when I get to that point. I hope you keep making videos after you’re done with this one. More damn Darts would be great but I’ll keep watching for the humor either way.

Thanks, I have a lot of work ahead of me and I like doing these videos so long as you want to watch I'll keep at it and hopefully get better too.

Why do you use that method instead of jam it and then paint with doors and trunk lid on?

Very Nice!

So no wet sanding prior to paint? I've never tried that. Most of what I've done though is enamel.

looks great.. what do you do about body filler sucking in 3 month down the road? destroying nice paint jobs....any tricks.
@kars_tony9 ай бұрын
I've never seen that and I've seen my work years after completed. Product shrinking shouldn't be a problem once everything has cured.

@@kars_tony I work in a dealership body shop and sometime when there is Bondo on a panel.. I primer with Glassoit primer block it out where its straight and looks good after painting.. 3 months down the road it comes back.. wavy as can be because the bondo shrunk..maybe your not using enough Body filler to suck in or waiting long enough for it to totally cure. I have no control over how much Body filler is used and they always has to get finished fast.
@class5bodyworksАй бұрын
@@markvietti Rule of thumb is to wait an hour after filler to prime. Not all of us do this especially in a fast paced shop. Sounds to me it's more the primer and paint finally fully dried not the filler. Something called urethane wave. Happens after all the solvents finally gas out. You may see differences too when the temperature changes. They might just be getting rushed out the door too quick. Make sure to let every coat flash off properly and don't pound everything on there, especially primer.
