Honestly the paper trick works. All you have to do is try it on your own car. Unless you have a mean wax job or some fantastic paint, you won't be able to read jack sh*t other than really bold or really large font. The point is this Flemming guy is the boss mack don!

Ok Mr.Flemings park the 67 green roadster Corvette in my drive way. On September 22 . I think this car would look like really better with my smile looking back at you when I am driving her. SEMPER FIDELIS

I like the video and don't want to sound as though I'm 'nitpicking', but....you should have the hood closed and latched before driving the vehicle. Looking at marker 10:21 and on, one can clearly see the right side of the hood isn't closed and latched completely. One safety feature is the hood is hinged in the front so you don't have to worry about it flying up on you. Very good video but just wanted to bring that to your attention. Thank's for sharing.

Right blinker didn't work. Oh wait, that was the driver... Back in '70 I had a '55 Chevy 2-dr Wagon with Sea Foam Green paint and ugly green interior. I could do the paint myself but the interior was going to have to stay until I could afford to replace it. I found the dark '65 Corvette Glen Green with it's high metallic content to be an excellent compromise. I shaved what trim the Model 150 had and painted it that color. Ha, ha, station wagon with Corvette paint!

I've watched many of this man's (he's the Fleming in Fleming's Ultimate Garage -- am I right?) videos on Corvettes... he talks a good game and all that... but he gets his facts a bit off quite frequently -- and those in the know - well, they just shake their heads and wonder if he knows much of anything about the car he's talking about ...

P.S. By the time these cars are on video, they are gone. One jack ass dealer wouldn't hold it for me even with money down when I had to go to work that day. I did get my $ back and he's out of business.

You seem to use "reflections" in all of your videos to show how nice the paint is. While I'm sure it's in great condition, holding a piece of paper up to the hood and seeing the writing reflected on it means absolutely nothing.

Actually, many resprays that arent quite up to scratch, or cars with older spray jobs from previous restorations can have slightly misty, cloudy or unclear paint. Seen it many times. I think its just to show that the paint was done correctly. IOt also ensures we pay attention to the paint on the car. He could just say, "Hey its got great paint" but it gives us an excuse to take a closer look.

@@N3RFTHIS And on this car it showed that the paint was to factory specs, with just the factory amount of orange peel. This car has not been color sanded, but finish is very nice.

Actually, one of the color options for the '67 Vette was "Goodwood Green". (I did not make up that name.)

@@johnthonig8832 Page 392 of the "50th Anniversary Corvette" book shows the color option as being "Goodwood Green". Also, Google "Corvette, Goodwood Green". 1965 Vettes had a "Glen Green", and the 1966 Vettes had a "Mosport Green" option.
