I have one. It has only 24,700 miles on it too. It was in a show room for 21 years and is now in my possession. I would trade it for the right C3 Convertible. Why? Mine is so MINT, I'm actually afraid to drive it around....too many IDIOTS out there driving around. A "restored" Corvette Convert is fine with me. I'm in western Oregon, near Salem.

Not the first year for fuel injection it was the first year for EFI however between model years 57 and 65 there was mechanical fuel injection

Nice car!!! I'd give ya $10,000 easy for it. OK OK i'll go $12,000 when can i pick it up? When will you remove that plastic crap covering the console and fix the tail light and recover the drivers seat (hidden from view)?

From 62 to 82 shut off years for trunks. Eighty twos great years for turbo ad-ons with fuel injection series. Awesome vett but I know you would want my left leg and couple hundred thousand dollars for her. Automatic five speed so I wouldn't need the left leg. But the couple hundred thousand I might need to use as a pillow to fall on missing the left leg. We will wait until my anniversary see what the kids might say on a trip to D.C. And pick me one out. Keeping coming . SEMPER FIDELIS

Very nice Tony I think an '82 is way nicer than the next body style '83

1983 was never released. 1984 (fourth generation) was an extra long model year run.

I see these sell for 25K if mint, and miliage is below 10 K. A car like the one in the video would be around 10K. A lot of those who bought these cars kept them in storage, hoping to make a fortune. But since so many did, there are a lot of nice ones with low mileage, making them cheap.

28k for this? LOL

Retail the way this car sits is $12,950. Wholesale $5 grand. The only way this car would be worth the asking price (or high retail) is if it was still in plastic. Great video though Tony.

Nice looking car. These '82 Collector's Edition Corvettes will never bring any decent money. If this was a real moth balled 'original', it wouldn't have that funky wood on the console, it would be all original and totally stock. Tony has a great reputation, but unless this car still has the plastic on the seats and the protective covering on the steering wheel, it's just another end of the model run for '82. On the plus side: great wheels, nice paint schematics, nice color variance in the interior, with just under 7000 built. But underneath this car hasn't really changed since 1963. That's right, 20 model runs.

Great OPINION, dude....but EVERYONE has one....RIGHT??

@@gadsdonflag4289 This comment was over five plus years ago. Is this car gaining in value? Sadly, not so much. (After all, I recall a 13 or 14 thousand dollar 1978 Corvette Pace car bringing 25 to 30 large, brand new, after the fact). Are they worth that kind of money today(not even in the wrapper)? Yup, just like any other Corvette guy. Of course everyone's opinion matters, this is *KZbin,* an interactive social media platform used to engage others. Now I know after a comment this old, you weren't trolling at all(not in the least). I may not have Hagerty valuation skills, but just like any other Corvette aficionado, I follow the trades faithfully. (And yes, I certainly try to be well read on any and everything Corvette...notably C2/C3/C4, and C6s). And learning more and more everyday, exponentially I hope. Oh, and I absolutely love the 1982 Collectors Edition Corvette(especially one that is in bubble wrap). Too many other Corvettes in my stable of cars(and I'm not even a collector). Notice though that you have one(is it for sale)? Great point about being leary of driving a 24,000 mile original car. Hands down my second favorite C3 next to a 1969 convertible. (Good luck in finding a C3 drop top).
