If you want to change colours keep it connected, but defaults to red when cable is not connected, rgb is powered by the board, cable changes the colour

Chris & Red Devil Owners : Silent or OC BIOS? The VBIOS power limit appears to be the bottleneck factor, equalising reference with more expensively cooled designs. Perhaps I should just install with silent and be done with it. But has anyone gained by using the OC one combined with AMD power reduction features like chill and under-volting to wring a little more from faster game & boost clocks with the OC BIOS? My Devil will live under the desk in a Fractal case with mesh top and liquid cooled Ryzen 5 CPU, that´s currently very quiet even running game benchmarks.

i used to worry about power and maximum gains at the expense of power, realizing that most companies actually apply really good stock settings and price evaluate it that way. I seem to test OC settings for benchmarks but finding that the out of the box settings are good enough, but if i come into a really demanding title then i optimize as you would say, as the ryzen 5 cpus are the best at the moment they really bring out the best of the card and its a combination of parts like DDR4 ram speed, power phases and silcon lottery with Gpus that all play a apart, i am going to test undervolting down the track but feel the companies already found the best balance in MHZ and power draw these days

@@Ryznstrider my install went well, I drive 2 monitors from iGPU & dGPU, allowing the RX 6700xt to drop memory frequency. The drawback is the config confuses software as W10 lists 2 display 1's to apps when you set main display to dGPU (display 2). Unfortunately the other way around the iGPU wasn't initialised and was unusable. Tried OC BIOS and enabled chill after my box remained stable. I had trouble last week after trying to install SATA RAID disks, so I reverted and have to go step by step. There's enough clearance for a fan, it probably needs it as the P/S fan isn't pushing much air in. Temps weren't too high but a case fan will be quieter. The Red Devil noticeably warns the mid case sides under prolonged game benchmark load. In normal use it's much cooler..

@@Ryznstrider They have fallen in Europe this month as stock sat in warehouses at the extortionate prices, I waited but fell for the devil when discounted to €709 (US $846), which is over the extortionate MSRP price, but usually Europe pays in £ or € the US price in $ due to high VAT and consumer & staff protection laws. For some reason in many countries they only consider Nvidia, I heard it's the same in Oz. The result is most paying through the nose for cards with a whole looad of silicon wasted on unneeded tensor cores (only used in AI network training).

Yet it burned out after completing exactly one year. I spent another 80$ and then it died out after two months. Then I had to switch to X570 gigabyte ultra durable board with 3 years warranty. Though not so elegant like the Msi model but it earned my respect. Then my monitor Msi MAG G24C6 display went bonkers and now I have to spend $75 to replace parts inside the monitor. It also had 1.5 years in resale yet by coincidence died out the same way. I hate MSI. I think MSI means : Made Super Imbecile.

Got one from PC case gear and thought it was DOA so sent it back... Turns out its not DOA and its being sent back to me... I have no idea why it does not even post in my machine, it lights up red and everything.. I have a MSI x570 MB and I have had 3 different cards in it (RTX 3060 / GTX770 / GTX660) all of them work perfectly and boot with 0 issues. I've updated bios to latest and tried new power cables.. I can confirm PSU is a 750 NZXT so its not power. I am lost, however I have found that there is a setting in your BIOS that needs to be enabled in order for this card to work as it wont work with EUFI disabled... Does anyone have any idea's... I'm lost and very anxious for when the card arrives back at my door step. I wanted a RTX 3070 but not paying $500 more for pretty much same FPS, apart from RT enabled...

Hey joseph, should work out of the box, uefi is standard through the boot cycle, since you got a msi mobo it should have the post led light indicators so you can narrow troubleshooting down, usually if a graphics card cant display or post is a resolution scaling problem which is usually solved with plugging in or changing your resolution to 1080p as a default, you can download the radoen software is mandatory with the 6700xt to get the latest drivers, once you download the radeon software will auto download the drivers required, I am doing a full review on this card in the next few days, expect it will help you to solve some issues

PCCASEGEAR tested it and it worked fine for them.. I'm lost. I tried 2 different monitors and 2 different connectivity types on both Monitors. any other ideas man?
