When someone says "I've never drag raced in my life" and they're this balls deep into the car culture I gotta call shenanigans. If they consider going to the track and going off a tree drag racing then maybe I'll believe them. But everyone, even your grandma, has lined up at a light and gone foot to the floor on someone. Its weird the Terminator gets so slept on these days. They were the Hellcat before the Hellcat, more than that from the factory they had their power ratings INSANELY under reported. In stock form with just a pulley swap they were going 390whp to 500whp.
@JordanSVT2 жыл бұрын
@@brendanfitzpatrick3653 Yeah, I was surprised to see how much they didn't really know about the Terminator. These cars were revolutionary, without the Terminator we probably wouldn't have all these factory supercharged Mustangs, Camaros, and Challengers/Chargers running around. Despite being a Mustang owner, and fan, I was honestly hoping for a better show from the Maser powered FS-S as I'm an even bigger fan of crazy engine swaps! But, at the end of the day, it was like bringing a knife to a gunfight as this race it was really all about torque, and the supercharged Terminator has that in spades. Speaking of which: why aren't torque figures posted? Seems silly. 🤔 The display of torque is clear as day when you see the Cobra positively *surge* after each gear change. Unlike turbos, and centrifugal superchargers, positive displacement superchargers make power right-f'ing-now and lag simply does not exist. There's a trade-off, though: top end. While roots/twin-screw units have their instant power advantage, Turbos and CF-SCs have better top end (and less heat soak; but that can be worked on). This might also partially explain why the Cobra owner was "short shifting" as it kept his engine in the fat of the torque curve. All in all, a great match and a couple of really cool dudes. 👍

Such a serious track focused Terminator build. I love it a nice no nonsense build.

I'm sad there aren't more grip/track focused Termi builds. This in particular scratched an itch I've always had. Love the Wish 4586 too.

Same, I remember when I got my new edge I wanted to do a track build w a v6 but didn’t have any references because with seemed as though no one has ever done it with the new esge

While the Terminator may not be the best platform for a Time Attack build it can be tuned to be competitive. Of all the cars we’ve built/driven on track I always have the most fun in my Terminator.

I’ve owned many cars but I just bought my second 2003 Mustang GT 4.6 2V because my other one has 300,000 miles and still runs like a top. I fell in love with the new edge years ago and have been daily driving one since.

Awh the termi!!! I love them beautiful car, amazing engine 🙌🏽 edit: I think most people forget in those expensive engines they use the oil for cooling aswell so they need the dry-sump for the extra Q/L of oil.

That mustang was sandbagging so hard on that first run.

You mean when he left like a full second late and still got him by almost 3?
@samuelblackstone18712 жыл бұрын
The first run he kept short shifting to stay even and then got 2.5 cars. If he ran full tilt from an even start I bet that car could have gotten 8-10 car lengths in front.
