I get a perfect banded collar by edge stitching the neck, clipping where necessary for ease and completing the collar right down to the point where it will end before stitching. The new machines make buttonholes so easy, no adjustment of settings. I love your dress. Hubs said he would love a shirt in that print.

I did edge stitch, but I'm thinking I didn't clip enough in the round. I definitely need to work on my collars. Oh, now that would make a great fun shirt! Thanks so much for watching.

Hi there! What a great video and review of this dress; it looks so beautiful on you and a great fabric choice - love it! I was thinking of making a shirt dress for an August wedding shower in a light cotton voile, but, lots of fabric in Washington, DC humid summers is not ideal. I'll make it anyways! It came out beautifully. I'm sorry the machines would not let you be great with the buttons. Although collars are far above my sew grade, I am guessing it is supposed to have that tab in case you put a button there.
