I don't think you could find a better dog for the truck! That one is a character! I've got a lot of respect for you Dan. You're still out there doing it every day. Parked our truck a year ago. Sold the step deck the end of last year. Set our authority inactive as well. Waiting for a lease or drop and hook opportunity to get back in the truck someday but it isn't looking too great. Stay safe and keep on keeping on! Cheers!

In 1984 I bought a full length (45 ft back then) Dorsey flatbed trailer that was a special order, not received, trailer. Never had one problem with it in the 12 years that I had it. Rugged and durable and even had a five foot tall 'headboard' mounted at the front of the trailer. I found I could hang all my chain binders there.

they say the concrete roads only last 10 yrs. have you notice on I-10 thru Louisiana, after a heavy rain fall, that the concrete slabs of the highway actually float? the land gets so water logged that the road actually floats in place.

I ran a bunch of different spread axle trailers in Michigan in the 90's. Mostly 3x9. Covered wagons, van, and walking floor. Loved pulling those, 100k max, with all 3 trailer axles down pulls really nice. Backing is a bit different than with tandems.

Dan Dan the professional flat deck man. Once again the trucker gets screwed. I hope they came up with some kind of compensation for all of your wasted time and patience. It probably had to be something really serious to shut down a complete plant. I hope who ever got hurt is going to be ok. Truck and trailer looks great Dan, as usual. You must spend hours every week to keep it looking clean and presentable. Always leaving a good impression when you leave. Well it’s to bad ya had to dead head 350 miles to get out of the situation you were put in. Boy trucking is not fair when things run a muck. Last guy on the pole gets hooped. Liked the video Dan. Have a great and a safe day. Happy trails and happy motoring…

Dan I would not stress over it, some one might have died in an accident or hurt, hopefully not, main thing your ok And you will have a load sooner or later. Let it go, your not in a concentration camp back in 1944. Think about the stress they had, that’s what I do when it goes wrong, then I ask. Myself is it really that bad compare too those people in 1944. Then I just relax.😊

Axle wieghts are not so dissimilar to UK?EU. We run traiaxle trailers at 8t each, along with the 3 axle unit. Because out max length is so short it almost impossible to over load and axle despite the 98560lbs gross.
