President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. leads the 67th Founding Anniversary of the Naval Special Operations Command (NAVSOCOM) at Naval Base Heracleo Alano (NBHA) in Sangley Point, Cavite on November 6, 2023.
With the theme, ‘NAVSOCOM@67: Leading Innovations, Sustaining Excellence, and Forging a Legacy,’ the Commander-in-Chief witnesses the capability demonstration that showcases the specialized skills and expertise in sea, air and land (SEAL) operations of the Philippine Navy’s (PN) elite force.
Other highlights of the event include the conferment of awards by President Marcos Jr., together with NAVSOCOM Commander Commodore Dwight Steven Dulnuan, to special operations personnel who have successfully executed various operations across the country and demonstrated excellence in their fields of duty.
The NAVSOCOM serves as a special operations unit of the PN that specializes in SEAL operations. These range from reconnaissance, close combat, demolition, intelligence and underwater operations in support of overall naval operations.
