Had my 2018 570 about 6 months and freaking love it. I ride in the mountains and challenging rides with lots of rocks. I usually have mine in low gear most often and the torque is crazy. I keep up with the 700 Kodiaks and 850 sportsmans no problem. Recently put big horns on it and skid plates. Love my Polaris 570. Thanks for the vid, subbed.

Definitely you convinced me: next winter I'm changing my Kymco for a new Polaris 570. 10.000 euro, the dealer values my Kymco 3.000 so I'm giving him 7.000 for the new Polaris 2022 edition. My wife and I have 570sp 2ups we love them! We ride all over Colorado and it amazes me how fast and how much torque they have. We climb some pretty steep hills some that we would never think we would be able to go up on these machines but they just go! Love them, they are so much fun! Oh the downhill dissent on the SP‘s is wonderful especially for a big guy like myself who has a lot of weight on the machine it never even slides if it is in the Down hill dissent mode!

My brother bought a 570 in 2014. I bought a rancher 420. The rancher is bulletproof proof but not as much fun to ride. Sole it and bought a 570sp. Love the ride and the power. No major problems with the Honda or either of the Polaris’s yet. Bought my brothers 2014 as an extra and it also still runs great.
@maraudermitchelli5 жыл бұрын
Jeff Shultz My opinion Honda’s are a good investment, they are a terrible trail machine I owned a Rubicon new in 2000...horrible ride no guts and I had issues with low miles. Japanese bikes are better built than can Am and Polaris, but North American bikes rule the trail. I believe Can Am engineering is much better than Polaris all around more durable but the oil change is aggravating. I suggest you grease your Polaris frequently though.some suspension components can only g bag e greased if disassembled, clean it, check the belt and invest in a trickle chargers and eventually a glass Matt battery. That being said as stated in my video my 570 was a blast on the trail so much torque enjoy your machine o hope you got a good one buddy 😊 I’ll do a comparison video soon.

Great video thanks for sharing, Looks like Awesome ATVS and Trails, glad your happy with Polaris, I looked at a 570 Sportsman but was scared to pull the trigger, just heard so many stories of people having problems with them , did my research ,read forums, spoke with Polaris owners, spoke with dealers , just work to hard for my money and couldn’t take the chance of being stranded with my son miles from the truck, I must admit I do see a lot of Polaris’s on the trails, I decided to get 2018 Yamaha Grizzly 700 SE NO REGRETS

@maraudermitchelli5 жыл бұрын
@Tsunauticus III our conclusions are the same. If reliability is number one on your list the Japanese manufacturers win, hands down. Suzuki and Yamaha make a reliable product. My friends love Suzuki's, I've researched buying a grizzly. My dealer believes at this time Can Am is more reliable than Polaris, i just purchased a Can Am Defender XMR. Ugh but the trails we run, the ride, stability, ground clearance, machine on board storage and price you can't beat the Polaris. Not to mention the best driving AWD...Maintenance is an issue! Great comment! Maybe you'll see a trail review on a Yamaha. BTW i owned a 2001 Honda Rubicon, not for me ever again.

I completely agree with your feelings. My buddy got a 570 and had it for 2 years before getting a x3xrs. I had the pleasure of riding it back to back with my 850 xp on multiple occasions. The 850 is faster no doubt but the 570 handles amazing, just as predictable under braking and cornering and it is very nimble. I was able to ride it just as hard as the 850. Clearly the 850 was faster between the corners but i was perfectly happy with the 570. I would absolutely ride one again without complaints. Im 330 lbs 6 foot 2. Im not small and it was wonderful. I imagine a smaller person around a “average” size and weight would find it to be a very impressive machine.

They are excellent quads! I have a 2017 570 EPS Touring, I have 0 power issues even with tow people on the Atv. Only complaint is the agressive EBS. I’ve had multiple Polaris’s 500 and I find the 570 has the most agressive ABS. Which can cause skidding and loss of control when ridding agressive as you experienced in this video. Apart from that it’s the best bang for your buck Atv on the market. Lots of power potential with aftermarket clutching and exhaust etc.
@maraudermitchelli5 жыл бұрын
Hi Erik I’ve heard the newer models have less aggressive clutching and engine braking. The 570 is a torque master, great machine. Inspect your engine mounts and bushings…grease frequently. I may be crossing over to the darkside and trading the 570 for a Can Am Outlander XTP or XMR. I my viewers would still be interested in watching my videos. Thank you for commenting.
@erikdesormiers94585 жыл бұрын
Marauder Mitchelli you’re correct on the EBS, they’ve toned it down a bit. I grease my bushing almost every ride with marine grease so it doesn’t wash away as easily. A friend of mine has a can am and he loves it, not a as smooth of a ride tho he said. Plus he did have many electrical issues. Something to consider. I’ve had 0 issues with mine thus far after 2000km

How much is the average price for one of these things? I found one on craigslist, 0 issues, about 15 hours, perfect condition and they are asking for $1500 USD. Isnt it too cheap?!
@maraudermitchelli5 жыл бұрын
n n that sounds way too cheep they do depreciate...I don’t have enough information like the year. So it’s not strange that a atv could have 15 hours and be 10 years old. The manufacturer sites have list prices, and Blue Book should have used cost. New a base 570 maybe 7k add power steering add 1.1k and xp loaded model like mine add 1.2k hope this helps.
@NLINE75 жыл бұрын
@@maraudermitchelli Be aware of craigslist scams as you probably know, if the price seems to good to be true it very well is probably a scam. My BIL bought a clean used 2005 Polaris Sportsman 700 EFI from the original owner last July 2018 that had 795 original miles and I don't remember exact hours, but it was less then 150 hrs. Have gave $3400 USD . This was in the North Texas area, region has a lot to do with prices though. Definitely late in the game with this video but outstanding job. I have a 20' 570 premium with now 2000 miles and it's been outstanding. Had a seal go out in 5 months that now clutch has slipped ever since a tad but it's ok. Squeaky brakes that the dealer says are normal that drive me nuts but again kinda cosmetic as work great. The one thing that forced me to finally trade it was when in town which occasionally I had to the engine brake was so loud and hard you seriously upset townfolk as going up to stop signs it just hammered to a stop. It wasn't adjustable. It was simply too loud and extreme of an engine brake. Otherwise I miss that machine it was one in a lifetime.

I have a 2014 570EFI with power steering in MD. I don't trail it don't have a way to transport it. I use it for snow removal on my driveway, moving firewood in a trailer and bringing up the trash cans. I put Xenon headlights on it, has heated grips, a led light bar and some amber and white led strobes over the tail lights to prevent my neighbors from running me over. Probably run it down the 150 yard driveway twice a week for trash and maybe an average of 5 or 6 times a year for snow removal. Never had another ATV to compare it to other than a KX125 dirt bike as a kid. But here is my take. Over all I like it but it does have some flaws. You could eat of the motor because I ride it in a very clean environment. Because I have no way to transport it I end up having to service and maintain it myself plus the dealer is an absolute ripoff they treat hem like its a Ferrari. In some aspects it might be like a Ferrari. It a pain to do a full service. even with bottle pumps for the front and rear transfer cases I need to remove the power winch to get to the fill hole which requires removing part of the front end. A full service on my ATV looks like a complete rebuild. The battery placement is horrible (I know you can move it but have not. I have upgraded my battery. A week ago mine would crank but not start no spark. I am in the process of trouble shooting it. So far battery is putting out 12.85V the solenoid is checking proper, the ignition coil is checking out on proper ohms after replacing the spark plug cable since it showed OL I am getting no ohms on the Crankshaft Position Sensor waiting for that to come in. Stator shows proper ohms on all 3 phases. Have not discover a charging issue. Just no start. Have not checked the ECM or the voltage regulator/ rectifier yet. And I have not pulled the stator housing to check for a broken crankshaft key yet, starting with the two things that failed the meter test. Just waiting for the CPS to come in.

You are very smart and a better mechanic than I. I agree with you 100% on everything. The 450 and 570 are notorious for having voltage regulators fail, mine did and i know 4 others that did the same. Try replacing the voltage regulator. The battery...ugh. I replaced mine with a glass mat battery with a 3 year warranty. You're lucky if you get a year from a standard battery. The first battery wouldn't start the machine on the day of delivery. I mentioned all these issues and more in the video. It is a great machine...powerhouse but it does have its issues. This machine is why i now ride Can Am's Thank you for commenting contact me on my email for more assistance.

@@maraudermitchelli Well follow up as of 1/16/2020 Hopefully this will help any 570 owners with a crank but no start. It was the Crankshaft Position Sensor as I suspected. It came in yesterday via 1st class mail. Before I installed it I took an ohm reading as stated in the service manual (which I recommend every owner downloading as a PDF even if they don't do their own service) put the meter on auto ranging it showed 999 ohms. I removed the old CPS sensor one 8mm bolt holding in the black sensor in the right side of the engine near the water pump housing. No need to take anything apart other than removing the plastic side panel. After removing the bolt it requires some twisting and pulling since it has an O-ring and most likely forms a vacuum as you pull it out. You will need to disconnect the harness which requires removing the air filter housing and hose to the intake (not a big deal). I checked the old sensor while it was removed just in-case and Yup O.L or no ohms. Put a small coating of motor oil from the dip stick on your finger and coat the O Ring on the new CSP sensor and push it into place till it fully seats, torque the bolt with a torque wrench to 7 ft lbs (anybody working on cars or ATVs should use one) reconnect the harness and wire retainer on the frame, reinstall the air filter housing make sure the connection with the hose clamp is fully seated not just on the top don't want dirt entering because only the top was seated. Now with the spark plug out of the engine but connected to the spark plug cable rest the threaded part of the plug on the engine block make sure no gas is around the engine housing and turn over looking for spark. I got spark reinstalled the plug and it started up as usual. The reason why I say test for spark is because there can be addition reasons for no starting and if you see spark but it does not start and all the electrical components test ok it could be fuel or a compression issue. Spark is the easiest to check for. I say start easy and work your way up. Cost me $60 cant imagine what the dealer would have charged me. Pick up trouble shoot make up more issues than there were replace part charge for more parts 3 hours of labor for 10 min job and deliver No Thank! Only as a last resort.
@Mphonik20134 жыл бұрын
Now the question is what made it fail 300 miles on a 6 year machine garage kept. Hopefully its not a cooling issue or something going on inside the housing. If it does it again I will have to pull the stater housing and coolant pump and take a look. But only as a last resort I don't want to have to drain the coolant and replace the gasket for something that might have just failed after 6 years. We Shal See

Great video. I am currently thinking of buying my first ATV, a Polaris 570 EPS X2, since I will be moving into a new house which has a driveway that will need plowing in the winter time. It will also be used for towing å canoe down to the sea which is a bit away, and to do a bit of road driving. But I am a bit concerned about the durability over time, like, will it last me 15-30 years, or should I get a cheap and old farming tractor since they are built for work and durability. I think an ATV would suit my purposes better than a farming tractor, but there is just the question of will it last me the time I need, durability wise. Any thougts on that would be greatly appreciated.
@maraudermitchelli5 жыл бұрын
Well you know i have both. Please watch my video again (and read my response to comments below), i really like Polaris but they do have some maintenance needs which other atv's don't. If you're not mechanically inclined i would recommend purchasing an extended warranty service plan. All machines even tractors break and need annual maintenance, this is critical for them to last 15-30 years. If you a canoe and live by the water you must be an adventurous person...who's living in their dream home...awesome! A tractor can't trail ride, an ATV will give you the opportunity to experience the outdoors like you've probably never done before. You must take an atv training course which Polaris will give you 2 free passes for a course. Can Am also has 2 up machines that will plow. Please don't hesitate to ask more questions i'm glad to help.

Had an early 2004 sportsman 500 and it basically fell apart when it came to tie roads, berrings etc. The 2004 only had 6 grease fittings I think. Neighbors 2002 500 had 26 fittings and greased it once a week and put nearly 20 000km on it and plowed a 150 ft drive and hauled fire wood. A real work horse. I hope they're much better than my 2004. @maraudermitchelli5 жыл бұрын
Super Dave an opinion is that running in awd is the safest way to ride. If there’s any slippage the front wheels will pull the machine through a turn before flipping the machine. In 2 wheel drive an experienced friend going slow drifted his machine flipped and broke 5 ribs and a collar bone. It is also less wear and tear on the rear drivetrain. This is an opinion. Atv safety course is a must, moving body weight on seat is critical.

My machine is dead still, I shift it from "P" to "H" or even "R" and I have to feather the throttle so it doesn't engage too hard. @maraudermitchelli4 жыл бұрын
I think they have corrected most of them. Not sure if the engine mount issue has been corrected, but that could be how and where you ride as i've looked at engine mounts with 1500 miles that looked new. I switched to Can Am 2 years ago and never looked back...but the Sportsman 570 was a fun machine, big machine for the money, good value. I'd tell you that Japanese bikes are the most reliable...but even they have failures...probably not as many. Make sure you have a good dealer that will help you with issues with Polaris. I never purchase this, but if you're concerned purchase an extended warranty. Polaris says they corrected issues with battery, bushings, hopefully other items like voltage regulator, engine mounts, power steering were also improved. I hope this helps, thank you for commenting.
