Make sure you let the 500i idle for a couple minutes so it can run the fuel injection the right way

Why didn't you redo the first saw like you did the electric saw. I have a 25@ chainsaw i got at menards 15 years ago and runs lime a champ been through about 100 bars and out lasted my stihl saws. They are junk. I'll Never buy another one.
@em47037 ай бұрын
It's a real shame electric saws are so behind gas powered ones even in 2024. Great for top handle use for the low noise (and even that's debatable since they're so much heavier than an echo 2511), but they suck at "replacing" anything above 40cc besides chinesium saws lol.
@brownwhale55187 ай бұрын
Just buy a bunch of extra batteries and you’ll be good to go. And electric tools aren’t necessarily meant for commercial use.
@PM-wt3ye19 күн бұрын
@@brownwhale5518 This BUNCH of extra batteries costs you ~500$. in case you didnt know, the tool itself is not that expensives, the batteries are. why should you do that, when there is a better (and chepaer) alternative??

Love your vids. Is it possible to do a vid comparing saws after 3 or more dulling blade cuts...then doing tests? I figure sharp blade will always do well. What if after use...motor AND blade holds up? Isn't that what matters?

Thanks for the comparison. I have the EGO and I'm happy with it. I'd be even happier to have the Stihl. Maybe when the EGO breaks or I get tired of running out of battery power. With the price of my three, 56v 10AH batteries I could have bought a top end Stihl, lol. I'm off grid so the recharge power is free at least.

Don't over estimate the Stihl AP500S batteries, I have 4 of those. Cutting oak about 20" diameter with MSA300 and the AP500S batteries all I can got is 11 or 12 cuts, also if you are going the 11 or 12 cuts continuous the battery with be hot and with take the charger AL500 at least 10 minutes just to cool off the battery so it can start charging back again.

The electric saws have a horrible cost / benefit ratio. The Temu makes sense for a once in a blue moon homeowner but the Stihl 500 is the best bang for the buck.

This is the first time I've seen a video of yours. I would be curious to see what you think of my chainsaw. I have an Echo CS-4920. I'm using it to clear 3 acres of woods with mostly oak and cherry trees. It's constantly needing a new air filter, and I go through chains like mad. I sharpen my own chains and I'm using a full chisel chain which seems to work best. Anyways, I'm just tired of constantly having to replace the chains, air filter, and even the clutch drum...
