Also at about the 15 min mark you ran the aux4 wire out to the bundle under the hood... For anyone else watching save a little wire routing! There is also an aux bundle under the dash, the manual says: "on the passenger side under the instrument panel" I personally haven't dug around to find it yet, but it should be there!

Awesome, should have checked the manual 🤦🏻♂️ I’ll look this weekend.

Just completed the installation in my 2021 2 door JL! Your instructions were spot on and made the job so easy to do. Also appreciated the commentary about the AUX Wires under the dash board.

Leon you able to give me more details on the wiring to ground, aux, etc? I have 2021 2 door JL and ready to install the heated seats but am still lost on exactly how to wire it. I am new to DC wiring and certainly not a mechanic.

Thanks for sharing this video, I needed to see how to open up the seats to possibly replace the factory heating pads and this will be a big help!

Really liked the way you did this. For someone who hasn't had much experience with hog rings in the seats, I would've enjoyed seeing at least one up close and real-time removal and reconnect, and the rest as time-lapse. I like your idea of switch placement, since our Rubicon is quite cluttered in the dash with switches. AUX 4 is a good idea seeing as how it's a lower amperage circuit. But yeah, if you've got the under-hood harness for the AUX switches, you should have the under-dash harness as well. It will be a much safer wire routing than what you've done. Also, you would only have to bring the wires forward, and not circle back in front of the passenger seat. Cheers, and thanks for the video!

Best video yet on installing the aftermarket seat warmers. However, when the phone video cut out was the most important part for me. I am still lost as to exactly how to wire the warmers. I am not familiar with car wiring and the adapters, grounds, etc. That bundle under the hood looked like it was all taped up. What was taken apart and how was the wiring attached?
@68Charger2 жыл бұрын
Hey Terry, sorry about that. The instructions on the kit are pretty clear. If you are using the aux buttons on your Jeep you would use one of those 4 wires. I didn’t know there was another connection under the dash. That should save you some time!

Just had the heated seat installed Just wanted to ask when installing in both front seats did you power the 2 seats how exactly did you power them up. Did you use 2 different fuses to make your connection or did you splice both power wires together and than connect to 1 fuse
@68Charger11 ай бұрын
Each relay had their own fuse and just left on for extra safety. Then spliced the together to one of the auxiliary buttons.

Why not just use the 12v socket wiring in the console?
@68Charger2 жыл бұрын
I wanted it on the auxiliary system to make sure I didn’t forget to leave them on.
@pdivizzle01122 жыл бұрын
To avoid leaving them on I would used a fuse tap and just power it off the radio
@BlackJeepConvertible Жыл бұрын
@@68Charger but doesn’t that 12v turn off with car off?
@68Charger Жыл бұрын
@@BlackJeepConvertible it would, however, my daughter uses it pretty much everyday “on high” and forgets to turn it off often when I drop her off. This ensures it is always off every time I turn the Jeep back on.

If you're worried about warranty, you should have the dealership install the Cold Weather Group instead.
