Good to see the Camero again... only concern I have is the cut front cross member and the strength lost doing that but the rest of it was well executed.

Sick Car! I literally have the replica of yours in the garage. How is she on staying cool with the BBC? I have a dual electric fan on a new two row with the bigger tubes and it gets a little hot in the summer at stop lights.
@HorsepowerDepot4 ай бұрын
Right now just a single 17 inch fan. We will see how hot it gets. I haven’t driven it much yet.
@leesanders88244 ай бұрын
I have issues keeping mine cool especially during the summer. It's an iron 468 and no where near that radical but does have a 2 row aluminum radiator and as big as I could fit electric fan. 210 is normal in the heat for it

Great car, I just built a 1969 firebird for my cousin, 505 Pontiac power, tremec tkx 500 transmission, custom fab headers, 12 bolt rear 373. Finishing this car this week I have a 1971 Camaro with a bbc632 with 3 stage's of nos, ATI t400 transmission with a brake,3600 convertor, 12 bolt rear 4.10 ,4 inch exhaust with tail pipes.

Is there any chance you would tell us more about the 565? Camshaft? Compression?
@joshwynn18364 ай бұрын
Run your alternator flipped backwards, if possible...tbh, I'd like to see that 6 bolt LS block go in there! Is that class legal or no..? Doubtful, but a thought! After I had my 1st built LS that went 10.3x's on motor, 8.50 on 200 shot, but should've been capable of high 9's on motor, with a looser converter! That lil 402" LS made almost 50hp more, to the tires, than my dad's solid roller 540! It's 10.5:1 pump gas, but a .72x solid roller, and those c.i, I just feel it should've made more than a motor that's almost 140c.i smaller, both had good aftermarket parts, but I could and did daily mine for 3yrs with a 8" converter...I just put a iron 408, done by Mike Lough, in my 44k mile, 99 Camaro SS, w/a FIS 91/102 T4, to keep a/c. Pretty much same, 11.5:1, Dart Pro1 225's out of the box, had TFS heads on the other motor, of course a turbo cam from Cam Motion, hopefully won't sound like a turd, I want exhaust and for it to sound good! Hopefully I can finish it, I'm going through a divorce, and it's running me into the ground!! I really need a tig welder to finish the car and get it out of here, so I can move too. Sorry, no other shitbag is putting his hands on my car! Smart thing to do would be part it out or something, but I'm WAY too deep, and I'm already losing my home, my wife, time with my kids, basically life as I've known it for the last 13+yrs.! It sucks, prolly one of the hardest things I've gone through! Thanks for the video, I think the Sunoco style good looks killer! I'm going the same route, but they wanted over a grand to build me a tall and wide Sunoco hood, on a hinged frame! VFN sells one... but due to my aftermarket radiator having to mount fwd of the core support, I have no hood latch anymore... Hopefully it'll get finished, I need exhaust done, charge pipes fitted and v bands welded on, sfc's welded in, and the relay for my fuel pumps wired up, it'll be ready to fire! Already a good tune in it... just need help and it sucks man! I have to daily this car now, after my wife sold my daily out from under me! In a bad spot, kinda stuck, but it's getting finished!! I'm lookin for a LS 2 step, CO2 boost controller for the car. Trying to keep as stock looking as possible, but no way I'm getting a harness thru my stock seat!

Cool to see the OG Camaro back out hurting some feelings. That said I think the car will be really cool set up as a DZ302 Z28 tribute with white rally stripes and front and rear spoilers. A friend had a ‘69 Z28 just like this in high school in the early ‘70’s. Yeah I’m really old.

What a Mean car you have man, the look of that 69, the wheels with the dog dish caps, the hood! Looks amazing, perfectly proporcionate and the sound! At first i thought those mufflers were flowmasters instead of straight through's but by the sound ain't no way they are flowmasters 😂 they must be whatever the brand, but straight's and sound so deep but quite at idle, just perfect! Hope to see it next time making some noise! Love the car brother💪

Change the upper a arms to ones from SPC. They don’t use shims for adjustment, they have turnbuckles. You can then use a short bolt and stover lock nuts. Way more header clearance then.
@HorsepowerDepot4 ай бұрын
The fast class requires stock arms. So if I ever return the car back to run in FAST I’d just have to change the arms again. Trying to keep it just and engine swap away from being legal. Thanks though!
@pockets56284 ай бұрын
Makes sense! Check them out though if you ever need any. Can get the alignment like a modern car, and maximum header clearance.

Man. Leaving so much power on the table, not using a Mike Laws Twin Blade carburetor. I've seen them destroy the best carb builder's setups every time on the dyno. One just kicked the shit out of Roush's carb "gurus" suposedly killer carbs. Like by 50 horsepower on a renowned carb builder's dyno while Roush's guys watched it happen.
