THIS IS THE SONG!!!! This is the Ateez song! This is the song that made me go "I WANT ALL MY UNIVERSITY MONEY BACK" because I studied film score composition until my eyes bled and then Ateez completely makes a cinematic masterpiece with no traditional composition style to speak of. It's the perfect song and video combo. Halazia is a perfectly wrapped confection of performance art.

For me, Halazia is so singular. I’ve never heard another song quite like it. It threw me off the first couple of listens and then I could not shake it from my brain. I listened to Halazia obsessively for a long time and still go back to it for that rush.

Halazia is a monster of a song+mv in the best way possible. KQ and Ateez decided they weren't busy enough with their main storyline, they filmed a spin-off movie (there's also prologue and epilogue clips), and gifted it to us for new year's. It will definitely keep growing on you 😄. The live performances are great too.

Halazia goes straight to the top of my list, and so far, nothing has dethroned it! Definitely my favorite MV from Ateez. They filmed this in Thailand. This is one of the best anti-drops ever! This reaction is exactly why Halazia is my queen. I was a diehard Say My Name lady, but then Halazia came along and it was all over. It has every single thing you could possibly want from a song. The antidrop is more dramatic in the video version because of the bells, but I feel like it creates a tension that you just can't make any other way, and the push and pull of tension and release, tension and release is soooo satisfying when suddenly dubstep! Hahah. It ruins me. I'm glad you had trouble with it. I'd have been bothered if you didn't. Also love that it's number 69 (because my inner teenager finds that funny).

It's bn 1 and half years since this masterpiece was released and I'm still checking out every new reaction to it on youtube. Thank you for gifting us this one! I saw that the video is almost half an hour long & i alrdy knew it's gonna be epic. Halazia is No 2 on ranking for me. I have not stopped streaming this song since Day 1. You can see me leaving a damn comment daily on the mv. 😂 Instrumentals, vocals, raps, choreography all 10000/10. I also absolutely love all the styling choices made during the very short promotions period it had. And what makes Halazia most special to me ~ it's the first Ateez song that I witnessed live. ❤ They opened the Asia & Latin America Break The Wall tour with this explosive banger. Can you imagine the deafening screams when all of us in the arena saw Ateez appear on stage with this song beginning in the background. I still get chills when I think abt it. I think the anti-chorus is the best part of the song for me. The MV is very cinematic and has a religious/ cult feel to it. The anti-chorus absolutely plays into that feeling. One of the few times where this was an absolutely perfect marriage between the auditory and the visual.

Halazia is haunting. Just one more sound that Ateez can pull off in the bag of stuff that they do. P.S. the Bluebird outro was just a remix of Halazia with a bunch of different production over the Halazia melody, so it couldn’t really have been its own song. But it would have made for a really amazing remix if they had added to vocals over the top.

The facial expressions during this reaction are epic!! How everyone should look when witnessing this masterpiece 👌 despite being a big fan of the what I think of as holy trio of Ateez synth (take me home, cyberpunk and silver light) which are all in my top 5, Halazia was my 1st Ateez cb and everything from Yeosangs part, to the lyrics, the eerie mv, the beautiful sound blew me away so its holding my number 1 spot still 🙊

Halazia is an exceptional song, magnificent in scope and emotion. It may be my number one, but there are other contenders, it's just too hard to decide. Your lament for not making the outro a full song made me chuckle though because they sort of did. Half of the instrumental was Halazia; most prominently the bridge and then the drum and bass beat from the end - it just had lots of bells and whistles added to it.

This is outright my #1 Ateez song, and I look back now wondering what the heck took me so long to get into them. I fought listening for 2 months while I was listening to Stray Kids thinking no other group would have music that's just as unique and I was totally wrong. If you like the EDM in songs, I suggest checking out some Stray Kids as well. They are same generation as Ateez. I have been enjoying your reactions and especially these and dreamcatcher rankings!

AT LONG LAST! 🤩 I think the song structure is very tied to their lore, especially with this chapter. I don't know if you want to get into that or not, but I believe the absence of the drop and the anti-chorus are on purpose, to make you feel like your emotions and desires aren't complete, aren't satisfied, they're restrained or missing. They're in Strickland which is run by the shady government that controls and suppresses emotion and art. ATEEZ are visiting this dimension that Strickland is in to try to overthrow this government and liberate the people. The album name correlates with the ending scene of the MV. All the imagery in the MV is completely lore-driven. San sacrificing himself, the HALATEEZ scarecrow burning, Mingi beckoning the question "Who are you?", the fake world around them, Yunho in the hourglass as it shifts/twists, Yeosang's line is "Mm, the little blue bird that lost its voice. I can hear the whispers. The beginnings of a deep echo. The voice that will overturn the world" Yeosang IS the blue bird, who is currently in chains. :) Happy you got to see and hear it finally! For me, I don't have a proper list, but it's high up there in Top 5 but that's only because I've heard everything ;)

I'm not sure whether you caught it, but the musical break with bells between the 1st verse and chorus isn't in the actual track (which they used for the dance practice). It served to make the MV more cinematic. I wonder if it would have been easier for you to figure out what was pre-chorus, chorus, and other parts if you had heard the actual track first, and whether your ranking would have been slightly different. I can't wait until you re-rank everything when you complete their discography. Thanks as always. ❤
